The gym is open! I have my interview at 10 AM.  I'm taking my gym stuff in case I feel like going to exercise after my interview. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Good morning, Kix!  I'm meeting my exercise specialist this afternoon to update my program.  Our gym has gotten much busier at lunch time, which is when I usually do my strength training, so I can't always get the machines or weights that I want.  I'm meeting with the exercise specialist to learn additional types of exercises I can to work the same muscle groups, so I don't have to wait for machines or weights at lunch time.  Plus, it's good to do different exercises for the same muscle groups so they don't get accustomed to doing the same thing all the time.   I'll probably do some cardio after I'm done with the exercise specialist, or if it's still gorgeous outside, maybe I'll go walk in the park instead!   Kellie

Oh man, are my shoulders tired!  Did upper body workout for 40 minutes and then did elliptical for 20 minutes.  I forced myself to keep my hands on the bars.  I figured I could do it for only 20 minutes.  I do an interval type training on the elliptical with my music.  I push myself during the music chorus and then used the rest of the song as a recovery period.  There are 2 CD's that I have on my IPOD that help me do that. I think my shoulders are tired because of the elliptical and forcing myself to keep my hands on the bars!  Interesting.   We'll see what this change to add cardio 5 days a week brings.  I was doing it that way before and my weight  loss seemed to stall, but it was during the dreaded 3-4 months post op phase when the stalls get you down.

Had my fun spinning class with the fine butt man, also known as the Spicoli/Yoda of the cycling world. It was fun and exhausting. Good luck today!! Leave 3 hours ahead of time and do us proud!!!!

I am not sure if I will go to the gym today, I have a lot of work still.  If I do, I'll go easy because I was very tired after working out last night, and my legs are sore.

I went to the gym but took it kind of easy - 35min treadmill, 5min elliptical, and 20-40 reps lightish weight on about half the circuit machines.  I didn't have much energy but it felt good to move.
