I feel very tired, I hope it doesn't linger. My plan is to get back to the gym and quit using glorious weather as an excuse to just stay outside all day.  No outdoors for me until after the formal exercise is completed! What did you do to move your body today? Kix

15 mins fat-burning program on recumbent bike 15 mins lower body weight training 15 mins fat-burngin program on recumbent bike I found a new Snapple drink that's supposed to boost your metabolism...  I'm hoping it'll help kick start some weight loss too.... of course staying away from the chocolates in the candy dish on my co-worker's desk would help some too.... LOL

Hi, Kix.  What's up with the "very tired"???  Hopefully that will pass soon, but it has me wondering if your taking your iron and B-12...  If those numbers are low, it can cause you to feel tired, but no real way to know unless you're due for bloodwork.  Perhaps you just need more sleep!!!!   I've discovered that I have to use the beautiful weather as a "carrot" to keep myself going to the gym.  Something like I can go for a walk in the park or a bike ride only if I've stuck to my regular workout routine.  I love, love, love to be outdoors, but I just don't get the same level of workout when I'm walking or riding my bike.  And like you, I don't lose these days unless I exercise pretty hard.  Heck, I can't maintain if I'm not exercising a lot.  Oh well, such is life -- I'll take this over 396 pounds any day!!!! Today's a yoga day for me, so I'll do that at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work.   Kellie

It's not a physical tired, it's more of an emotional tired.  I feel tired and sad.  Rather than being vitamin-related, it's probably hormonal and a good dose of rigorous exercise will snap me right out of it! Speaking of which, I'd better eat my breakfast and get moving.  I have a lot to do today, including reading up on the agency where I'm having my interview tomorrow.  Lucky me, they have a tutorial on their web site that teaches clients about the agency's work and grant evaluation processes.  How convenient!  Kix

Ah, well, at least you seem to have a handle on what's going on.  Sometimes emotional tiredness can be worse than being physical tired; I find it more challenging to reenergize myself emotionally...  You're probably right that a nice rigorous exercise session would help shift your mood; the chemicals that are released when we exercise are supposed to help improve our mood.  Hopefully that'll be the case for you!!!  If not, I recommend salt, lime, and tequila, which always improves my mood Good luck preparing for your interview - it's nice that so much information is available online.  It's give you the information you need to prepare for a good interview, plus it helps you learn more about the organization and whether you'd really like to work there.  I've got a good feeling about this one - let us know how it goes tomorrow... Morning Kix, I will be headed off to the YMCA to teach a 1 hour water fitness class.  I also taught last night, and my class told me that they were glad to have their "butt kicker" person back.  I'll take that as a compliment! I had been on vacation with my mom for several days, and the place I was staying didn't have workout facilities, and their pool was BLACK on the bottom.  I wasn't going to swim in tha****er. Even though I did lots and lots of walking around, I never was up to a cardio level of workout, and I really couldn't workout hard.  It was nice to be able to do that yesterday.  I will relish the next few days of being able to go to the gym before my hysterectomy next week.

I did not work out last night, but I am definitely going to the gym today.  I have to finish my slides for my presentation Friday, and go sign for some money to go to Boston in June, but other than that my day is free and I intend to use it for movement - exercise and cleaning.  My tail bone is screaming for me to stand up for a while!  I do not understand why it insists on hurting so much!!

I'm exhausted today too - of course mine is because I, like a dolt, took my asthma medicine this morning instead of last night and it totally wiped me out - I fell asleep on the train to and from class and could not keep my eyes open during class. I will not be doing that again!  (I guess that answers your question from the other post - I am taking too much medicine for my asthma! over $300 a month worth, and that's after insurance. 2 inhalers, asthma pill and nose spray - ugh. But it's working, so I should be thankful) I got up late today and was so sore from yesterdays spinning class that I did a short workout - 30 minutes of running sprints. I'm not able to do these very often so it was a nice break - did 2 minute intervals starting at 5 mph all the way up to 7.8 mph - that is a big improvement from the last time I did these, I think the spinning class is really helping! I have my first running race this Saturday, a 5 miler in the Garden of the Gods - I ran a pre-run this past Saturday and it's ALL HILLS! I did pretty good on the pre-run, we'll see how I do. But the cycling is really helping, I'm going faster than I ever have. My goal is to make it under an hour - here's keeping my fingers crossed

62 min treadmill on calorie burning program - 2.75 miles, 620 calories.  I definitely pushed myself today, and I would have pushed to 3 miles but there was someone very politely waiting on my treadmill.

I made it to the gym, yay!  I did 30 minutes of mountain goat treadmill (well, modified mountain goat) and burned 250 calories.  I did the weight training machines, and then finished up with 6 minutes on the elliptical for my knees, burning 80 calories. Kix
