I feel like Eeyore here, but I have not been having much fun clothes shopping lately. Its a lot more work when there is more to choose from and you have to try on multiple sizes, and your body is all strange and funky shaped. But anyway, I did it. Now I need shoes. None of my dress shoes fit, they are all too big now. I have a pair of ankle boots that I can wear Fri with slacks, but I don't know about the dresses I bought. I'd like a cute pair of Mary Janes, but I probably still need a wide width (my pair of 7WW slippers fits ok, but too wide, so I probably need a 7W or 7.5W. I am not much of a heel person because they hurt at 440lbs, but I'm hoping they aren't as painful now. Any brand recommendations that you find especially comfy?
I was in 8.5 or 8WW or WWW before, so if anyone needs some shoes... I was grumpy yesterday, my friend gave me a pair of ******y boots last year but they didn't zip up over my calves and they gave her foot problems after a couple of sessions. Now they ALMOST zip to the top but are huge in the foot. I'm gonna wear like 5 pairs of socks when they do fit my calf!! I want to wear sexy boots STAT.
I hate sexy boots lol well not really but I hate that I never looked good in them lol
this may sound a little odd but K-mart has a brand of shoe called cobby cuddler, I have always found that they run a little Extra wide and are way comfy. They have a large selection and almost every style comes in wide. I wanted to take my daughter there but they don't go to size 12 or 13.
good luck
Estelle
i don't have any ideas for you, but i totally know what you are going through.... none of my shoes fit, and it sucks! i was a 7 1/2 and i think i am down to a 6 1/2 but because i have had to buy all new clothes i haven't really been able to afford new shoes, so i just wear 10,000 pairs of socks with everything.

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance. -Lee Iacocca

Yep I had to buy at least some new sneakers in January, and I already have to wear two pairs of socks with them.

I actually had some cloudwalkers and they are pretty comfy - my ankle boots are the only ones I can still wear (with two pairs of socks) Unfortunately Avenue doesn't go below a size 8

I've had good luck with some of Penney's store brand (can't think of the name right now to save my life). My feet finally stopped shrinking, so I bought a couple pair of Clark slides and I wear them almost every day. I also bought a pair of Hush Puppies recently that are dressy enough to wear with a dress, but they also look great with a pair of slacks. Think I got them at Penneys as well.
Good luck finding something stylish and comfy for your tootsies!!!

I didn't want to spend a lot (yet) so I went by Payless on my way back to work, found a decent pair of heels for $20 and a pair of flat things that are very casual for $10 (buy one get one half off). Size 6 1/2 wide. Holy crap, I haven't seen a 6 1/2 since elementary school
