OK this is a recipe for a delicious appetizer, and its not especially weight loss friendly, BUT I am going to give you options to make it more-so also.
Ingredients
12 jalapenos, cut in half with stem still on, cleaned of seeds and membranes and rinsed
1 box of room temperature cream cheese
1/2 can of crushed pineapple (in juice), drained
12 pieces of center-cut bacon, cut in half
Instructions
Mix cream cheese with pineapple and put into piping bag (or ziploc you can cut the end off). Place peppers open side up on a baking rack in a pan (24 jalepeno halves). Pipe pineapple mixture into each jalepeno "boat" and then lay a piece of bacon cross-ways on top of it. Bake at 400F until bacon is browned to your liking, cool, and enjoy. If you can't take hot things, beware, sometimes jalapenos can be surprisingly hot. Being a long-time hot food lover, I recommend having a frozen banana or two on hand just in case. Cold soy milk also works surprisingly well, but you can't drink when you eat
My family usually uses yogurt, frozen bananas, or sugar-free popsicles for hot food emergencies. You know the ones where you start crying? Yum.
Weight loss version - use nonfat cream cheese, and turkey bacon. Or pre-cook and drain pork bacon thoroughly and crumble it in to cream cheese mixture (less fat than laying the raw piece on top).

Yeah I used to do the same thing - and if I'm going to do them on the pit I still do that, but this way I could double the number I made (and not be quite as fatty) because I cut the bacon in half, and they aren't such a pain to make because before I would wrap them and put a toothpick through each. They are tasty from the grill though, yum!

Yeah if it was thinly sliced I think that would work pretty good. Try it and let me know :)
