Does anyone have the Kangaroo pouch?
I have the kangaroo pouch. I am conearned how this will go with my surgery. I think the inches lost will be fine in my upper adomen and sides but worried about the pouch. Question 2. Before the WW in July I was in a tight 32. Since weight loss from WW I am in a very comfortable 28 and room to move. I do not want to buy new clothes, and I am hard to fit clothes because of my height (6'1-6'2) I know if I lose another 20-30 lbs I am going be out of the 28s. Luckily I do have some 24 and a couple of 22 still. But I was not in the professional wworking world when I was. What did you guys do to wear your old pants? Or new ones? I have some 20s and 18s from when I was 19 (10 years ago) and I can bust that box out when I get to that point but it is the inbetween. I can't wait to get to the 20 and 18s. I have this blue suede short dress with a longer jacket that looked hot on me with Black calf boots that I can not wait to get back into. hehe
Are you talking about the hanging skin on your lower belly/abdomen? If so, that won't affect your surgery, but you may wind up with loose, hanging skin as you lose. A lot of us have that particular issue and often the only real solution is having it removed by a plastic surgeon after you're done losing. Either that or some sort of support garment to hold it all in place - personally, I'm going for plastics... Regarding your question about clothes, boy it really varies. I honestly wore the same clothes until I had lost 80-100 pounds, but I'm 5'7" and started out at 386. Now, by the time I finally gave in and bought some new clothes, my old stuff was basically falling off, but I just could not afford to spend a lot of money on clothes I wouldn't be able to wear for long. As far as how you'll progress through sizes, it's hard to say. Some people lose weight pretty evenly through their body. Others lose in certain areas first, then other areas later. You'll just have to wait and see what your body does. As far as holding up your old pants, I know some folks used safety pins! When I bought my first round of new clothes, I bought elastic-waisted knit pants because I figured I'd be to wear them longer than a fitted, non-stretch pant. I did the same thing until my weight loss really slowed down, then I started buying a few more fitted items...
