Gym is Open (Wacky Wednesday 4/23)
Lucky you! My rec center has no windows that face out from the cardio room. When I go to Ballys, the windows are always facing the street or the parking lot, nothing scenic at all! I hope you have better luck with your upper arm fat than I have -- my upper arms have definition and about a yard of hanging skin! How's that for going both ways?

I've watched those spinning classes. I'm pretty sure I would injure a major organ doing that. I'm glad you had fun! I went outside, it was glorious and HOT, and the clouds moved in over the zoo around 3, so I left. I'm glad I spent it outside, I understand the next few days might be cooler and a bit iffy.

It was such a beautiful day that I couldn't bear the thought of spending it indoors, so I forked over $11 and spent most of the day at the Denver Zoo. This is only my second time at the zoo, the first time I went I was still in a wheelchair. I enjoyed walking around the grounds, there is enough variety in the terrain that I felt like I had a decent workout, and I got to use my nifty new walking stick.
I'm on a preventive Keflex regimen (keeps the cellulitis from returning) and thus need to be vigilant about using sunscreen when I'm outdoors. I use a 70 SPF (made for vampires) and it works quite well -- except for the one part of my neck I missed with the sunscreen. I'm not tanned at all, but I have one patch on my neck that is Hawaiian Punch red with sunburn!
Next time, I'd better look in the mirror when applying sunscreen. I walked 8500 steps at the zoo and expended 378 calories (according to my accurate pedometer).
