How scary is it that I vividly remember the very first Earth Day back in 1970?  Oy! I have a full day ahead.  There's a job fair for boomers that I should attend.  Our botanic garden is having a free admission day and I'd like to go walk around.  I also have aquacise.  What did you do to move your body today? No gym for me today.  Have to go for 6 month labs and it requires fasting and there's no way I'm not going to eat before workout!

And I have school tonight so there's no way I can get to gym.  I'll do my 4 sets of 50 crunches on the exercise ball and try to get a walk in tonight when I get home from school since the Biggest Loser is over.  Sob, sob, sob!

Kix, you crack me up about your arms!  Enjoy your walk at the botanic gardens. Hope the weather will cooperate in CO.

Hi Kix, I am really trying to do well, so posting on ALL the boards. I will do at least 30 minutes on my bike tonite, while I am riding I will intermittlely lift 2lb weights over my head to get my heart rate up along with tighting up my arms. At lunch today I will take a 15 walk down to the store and purchase my suger free redbull for my  2:00 pick me up.  I wish I could swim like you do... Bye, Lynn

Hey there lady! I'm finally back to the living and yes, I did survive my first adventure race! I'll post a report later, I'm still trying to get caught up after a crazy weekend. I'm taking it easy this week, kind of recovery time after the race. I walked for 35 minutes at a 15% incline then stretched for a very long time - it really helped me work out my sore muscles. Some new news... I have asthma. I've been noticing more problems with my breathing, especially when I exercise. It got really bad this weekend during the race so I went in to see an allergy/asthma dr. and he confirmed it. It's nice to know that is the problem, it's been a struggle to breath when I run. But I already feel better today with the medicine he has started me on. Tomorrow will be a good test during my spinning class!

I'll do treadmill tonight, no weights.  Probably 2 miles and maybe a few minutes on the elliptical.

Well let's see... I work from home and have a recumbent bike in my office, so NO EXCUSES! I'm 6 weeks postop today, so time to start exercising in earnest. I was getting very drowsy at my desk around midday, so decided to ride my bike for a mile instead of taking a nap. Perked me right up! After work I fed, watered, and groomed the horses, then mucked out their stalls. I then decided to push myself a bit further and did an additional mile on the bike. Still have to break my miles into smaller chunks as the "burn" in the legs gets to be too much!

I did good at the gym tonight - 50 minutes treadmill, a little over 2 miles, machine said 460 calories.  That's my new record.  I had a lot more energy today than I've had for a few days, and after a lot of time in the bathroom I think all is well there too (like 6 times in the last 24hrs, holey moley - I lost 5 lbs today!) Not feeling bloated and uncomfortable made working out much more pleasurable.
