Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!  Starting your WLS journey can seem a little overwhelming, but you'll do just fine.  There are lots of fantastic resources here at OH and great people who can help guide you, answer questions, and just offer support.  I look forward to sharing your journey with you. I'm sure that if you ask anyone here, they will say that they would have WLS all over again.  Don't hesitate to ask any questions what-so-ever!  Welcome!

WELCOME!  Every one of us was and may still be scared thru this journey....its only natural to be scared of the unknown.  I can't guarantee we will alleviate all your fears, but you have come to a place where you are accepted, respected and voice your triumphs & concerns.  Jeanine

Welcome to the board! I  see you have Dr. D - are you in the Pacific NW too?

I'm scared too. And I'm struggling right now. I'm fighting the evil nicotine so that I can have my 6-mo smoke free time. During tax time I broke down. Erk.

How long does Dr. D. require for you to be smoke free? Dr. P. requires 6 mos., which seems forever. My last quit period lasted for about a month. Guess it was too soon to come off the Chantix. :>(

I think I could do better if the time period didn't seem so long.
