As you know, I recently received a kiss-off letter from the health department regarding the job I applied for.  I was bummed, but was getting over it. Well, guess what came in today's mail?  ANOTHER kiss-off letter from the health department telling me I didn't get the job.  WTF?!  Are they trying to quash my self-esteem, or what?  (Perhaps their secretary ought to keep track of what she mails out).  I hope this won't be a weekly thing with them. Not only that, it's cold and snowing.  Ugh.  It was 82 degrees yesterday.  I think I will make spaghetti for dinner tonight (using whole wheat pasta). Just had to share, Kix

Argh.  If they keep sending them, send it back with a note "I don't believe you, I need more proof.  Please keep sending me these weekly letters until I get the point!"

OMG... Let's put things in perspective. I'd rather receive 2 kiss off letters from a potential employer.... than 2 denial letters from the insurance company...  You could send it back with something whitty about how since receiving the first 'kiss-off' letter you have been found lying in the fetal position threatening to eat a whopper and that their insensativity of sending a 2nd letter may be responsible for putting you right over the edge... and for a meer 1 million dollars you would consider not suing.. Just wanted to make you smile

You could always call them and ask them when you report for your first day.  Explain you received an "offer" letter and have decided to accept the position.  Ask when you start and really freak 'em out.  (the devil  made me do it)!!!

Let me tell you a funny story that happened to me..about 15 years ago I applied to work at The city of Benicia... its a small town near Vallejo. I went with about 50 other people and took a test.  Within the next week I received a letter stating that I had scored in the top 10 percent, and I would be getting a phone call to schedule a second interview. I was so excited, it was gonna mean  so much more money than I was making..Then a day or two later I received another letter stating that a secretary had sent out the wrong letter to many of us... and I hadn't been in the top 10 percent. So I would not be coming in for another interview. I wrote back and asked it the secretary who mailed out all the wrong letters, if her position would be open soon... Of course I received no responce. Everything worked out for me thou. I am now the office manager at the same company I have been working out for 27 years.. Hang in there Kix.. Lynn
