Gym is Open (Wednesday, 4/16)
Another day!
I'm not sure what kind of day I have in store. My sister was on one last night (I think because I wasn't feeling sorry for her stupid friend who has eleven billionty health issues, was approved for WLS, but refuses to get it because she likes eating too much. I figure if you are presented with an option that will help lessen your problems and you refuse to take advantage of it, then you lose your right to moan about your problems). Also, our sister who lives in AZ wants to come with us to South Dakota and doesn't understand why I won't invite her (because she's insane and I don't want her to ruin my trip). So, my sister was cross all evening. She finally stormed off to bed, and when I was cleaning up the kitchen, I walked by one of her little decorative trinkets and my upper arm fat caught it and knocked it over the railing, landing on the basement stairs. Of course, it broke in half. I may be homeless shortly!
Anyway, enough blather. I had a good gym day yesterday and fully plan to have a good gym day today. What did you do to move your body today?
Kix
I worked up a sweat on the dreadmill for 45 mins @ +7 and 3.2 mph
and then I went upstairs at work to a mess! UGH..... I need a vacation!

Kix, it amazes me that people complain about something and when they are presented with a solution they reject it. It's almost like they live to complain. Maybe she'll get tired of how she feels sooner or later and will have the surgery or take control of her life.
You'll have to forgive me. I'm going to admit that I giggled a little at the visual in my mind of your "upper arm fat" knocking over the figurine. I lost control for a brief moment. I find my body wiggling all over lately. It's much easier to control now though. I would be sore in the morning because I couldn't roll over in bed so I laid on my side all night. None of that anymore.
As far as workout today...I had a much better day. When your fitness director is working out side by side it kind of motivates you to push through the pain! She's a maniac though. her boyfriend just broke up with her and she's taking out the frustration in her workouts. All in all, I did excellent today and feel great about my effort. BTW it was a total body strength training day for me.
Oh, and last night I got back on my exercise ball bandwagon and did 4 sets of 50 crunches. Owie I know I'm going to feel it tomorrow. I did it while watching the Biggest Loser. If that isn't a motivator, I don't know what is.
Ah, family. Aren't they delightful??? Glad you had a good gym day yesterday! Hopefully today will be great as well.
Let's see, I think I'm due for lower body strength training and core work at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work. I'm still enjoying the 2-a-day workouts and the revised strength training routine, but I'd like to see some downward movement on the scale. Amazes me that I can work out this hard and just maintain. Sigh -

I had spinning class this morning - my mantra of "Go Easy" was not easy to do! I kept pushing it, then would slow down, then pu**** again, etc. And now I'm sore, *&%$# (I'm swearing at myself, not the class... I like to do that every now and then because I'm a gluten for punishment).
I'm taking tomorrow off, then doing a light run Friday and a light bike ride Saturday. Say it with me... LIGHT AND EASY! I can't afford to be sore for my race.
I just found out that the race will be 10-15 miles of biking, 10 miles of trail running/trekking. If you don't hear from me for a long time, you now know why. I will mostly likely be passed out in a ditch, trying to move my tired and sore body.

Unlike PJ, I took it pretty light and easy tonight. I did 35 min on the treadmill, no strength training. I worked hard on the treadmill, but when I was done I was ready to go. I had GO (potty) stat, and I felt some wonky blood sugar. I checked it when we got home and it was 48. Drinking a protein shake at the moment.
Its my fault I was low, I got all emotional today and ended up barely eating. That does wonders for blood sugar!
