Hey Marge- Thanks for the encouragement! I so want to see those 100's!! As for the scale--since I am still losing I don't feel the need to watch the scale do it's crazy thing every day. It was making me just as crazy! lol But I know once the scale stops moving, I will be a scale addict as I don't want to become complacent. Right now though it's still moving down...and I sure hope it stays that way!

I had pizza too this weekend, and I'll tell ya it was worth every pound!   Does that tell you how my weigh-in went? Actually, I did more than just eat pizza - I had white chocolate macademia nut cookies, reese's pieces, etc, etc. I went to Texas and I had it in my mind that I could eat anything I wanted and I did. Guess I need to work on the whole "mind over matter" bit. surgery weight: 371 last week's weight: 173 this week's weight: 175 I'm working on getting off those 5 pounds before my race Sunday - I need to feel a bit more  comfortable than I am now. It's amazing what 5 pounds will do to ya!  But I will also be doing a "carb loading" diet from Wednesday on, so that could be interesting in the weight loss aspect. It's all high fiber, good carbs but it's A LOT more than I usually eat (and I eat a lot of carbs) so we'll see how my body reacts. I don't seem to have the same problem as everyone else does with carbs and gaining weight, so that's a plus... it's when I start eating junk that I gain (duh). You would think I would learn by now.

You dump on grapes? Wow! I'm kind of lucky that in that I don't dump. While I do go crazy sometimes with the candy, most of the time I can go in moderation, which I like. Can you believe I have NEVER dumped?! My stomach is sometimes grumpy, but that's about it. I can definitely feel the 2 pounds though - actually, it's the 3 pounds I put on BEFORE these 2 is  what's really killing me. My weekend really did me in!

Marge, pizza can be challenging. But I have to admit, melted cheese and a bit of tomato sauce is one of my favorites. My boss keeps laughing at me that I am the fat and protein queen. What can I say. However, I don't even remember the last time I had the pizza crust. Thank goodness the craving has not come back yet. I have not posted in a while on this thread. My 8 month was yesterday. pre-surgery- 390 surgery - 367 this week 262

Ugh.  We went to the Garden Show on Saturday and then out to dinner.  I ate a chicken fried steak the size of a platter (not all in one sitting, I ate half at the restaurant and the other half at home later).  All that breading, plus the mashies and the biscuits went straight to fat.  Too many calories and not enough calorie-burning activity. I haven't had (p)izza at all as a post-op.  It just doesn't sound tasty.  I haven't eaten any kind of sugary snacks, either.  I wish I had stayed away from bread so I wouldn't have to fight myself about it now. I have PMS, which isn't adding to my mood.  I'm annoyed with myself and vowing to make changes. Beginning weight: 530 lb Surgery weight: 407 lb Last week: 221 lb This week: 223 lb Kix

HEY KIX,         MY GOD YOU SOUND LIKE ME.... I HAVENT HAD SUGAR AND I KNOW ITS NOT A GOOD THING TO TRY FOR SURE. I SAY WHY RISK IT IF YOU KNOW YOU CANT HANDLE IT.... BUT OMG I LOVE BREAD.... I HAVE TO ACTUALLY TALK TO MYSELF SOMETIMES WHEN I AM COOKING FOR DH... DOWN HERE IN THE SOUTH THEY TAKE THERE BISCUITS AND CORNBREAD VERY SERIOUS AND I WAS RAISED ON IT AND CAN ALL BUT TASTE IT SOMETIMES.... I DO HAVE THE OCCASIONAL BITE BUT I KNOW HAS NO GOOD VALIUE IN IT.... JUST CALORIES AND GOOD OLE FAT.... DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT MADE ME TRY THE PIZZA TO TELL YA THE TRUTH.... EVERYONE WAS EATTING IT AT A BUFFET AND THERE WAS A HUGE AMOUNT TO CHOOSE FROM SO LOOKED FOR THIN AND SOFT... WENT DOWN WELL I MUST SAY.... SHOULD HAVE HAD SALAD THOUGH.... BUT I TRY NOT TO EAT SALAD IN RESTAURANTS BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME IT DOESNT SIT WELL..... SO HAVE TO SAY, TWO POUND GAIN AINT THAT BAD FROM WHAT YOU SAY YOU ATE..... YOU WILL DO BETTER AND AS YOU SAID YOU ARE GONNA MAKE CHANGES AND THATS THE MAIN THING... WE ARE HUMAN AINT WE??? HUGS MARGE
