Welcome to Wednesday!  Weather dudes are predicting a significant winter storm for us tonight and Thursday, so I'll be scrambling to run errands and get in my exercise just in case this is one of those doozy spring storms that dumps 1.5 feet of snow in my neighborhood. I enjoyed walking downtown on Monday, and I enjoyed my bacon breakfast at the diner, so I may head down there first thing, do some walking, run my errands, and then go to the gym for strength training.  We'll see how that pans out. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Good Morning Kix! I saw on the news that the Rockies were supposed to get snow today and I thought of you!   I did 20 mins on the elliptical and 20 mins of upper body weight training today.... with my daughter's wedding this weekend my stress level is through the roof and the chocolate everyone keeps on their desks here at work is calling my name..... I'm trying to be strong but but but...... ARGHHHH!

Hi, Kix.  Hope the storm isn't a doozy - you've had enough of those this season already!!!   I'll do a 2-a-day today.  Lower body strength training and core work at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work.  My new heart rate monitor should arrive today, so I'll be able to use it when I work out after work - yeah!!!  I've really missed having a monitor to help me stay in the right target zones while I exercise - will be nice to have that information again...   Have a fantastic day!!!!! Well that old snooze button got me running late this morning so I didn't get to do a cardio warmup before weights but I still did whole body strength training this morning for an hour.  I have been doing squats with the exercise ball and plies since the beginning of March but I never increased my sets when I increased everthing else.  Well this morning I bit the bullet and jumped up to two sets on the squats and plies.  I think I'll be sore tomorrow.  It felt good though to finally do that.

My day is crazy so far Tonight I will go to the gym and take out my frustration on the treadmill and weight training.  I plan to do 20-30 minutes on treadmill (moderate pace) and then two full circuits of weights. I went by the gym this morning and saw a sign "no enrollment fee!!"  BOOOO I guess I should have waited 2 weeks to sign up.  Our enrollment was $75.

Ask them is they will refund your enrollment fee or credit it toward your future membership fees.  Sometimes if you've made a recent commitment or purchase, the company may be willing to give the benefit of a current promotion if you ask nicely.  The worst thing that can happen is they'll say "no," the best thing is that you'll get your $75 bucks back.  I'm very good at schmoozing this kind of thing, especially when it comes to getting money back in my pocket instead of theirs!!!!   Kellie

I ran a mile tonight after sorting bottles from the dump with cub scouts, the bottles was easy but the running was hard I havent even really done anything because of this cold in over a week and my lungs were just not ready for it yet. So i'm not sure what this is I went to the docs yesterday and my reg doc was booked so I sw a diff one , she said my lungs were clear but right now I feel like i'm drowning, I go for 6 month check up tomorrow so i'm going to ask them to listen too.

I did a lot of walking today.  I didn't feel like being confined in a gym, so I went downtown, ate breakfast at my favorite diner (which was packed, there must be a convention in town), and walked from Larimer Square to the State Capitol and back to Larimer Square.  Round trip, about 26 blocks. I enjoyed the walk, although I admit it was a bit tough at first because I was full from breakfast.  It's hard digesting food and walking at the same time!  I also ran a bunch of errands and incorporated extra walking at every stop. The Cherry Creek Sneak is in 2.5 weeks.  I wish I'd known, I'd have started working earlier toward walking.  I'm not sure I'm up to even doing 3.1 miles, which is the short race. I'm behind on my strength training, but I frankly haven't been in the mood for it.  I'll resume it soon. Kix
