Gym is Open (Friday 4/4)
The gym is open! I've been drawn to the elliptical lately, and am up to 10 minutes (I only do the leg part, and I think it is helping my knees). I'll probably do elliptical again today, and assorted weight machines (abs, quads, the stuff you can do every day and not injure yourself).
What did you to do move your body today?

'Atta girl on your new found affection for the elliptical machine. It was my favorite piece of cardio equipment for a long time, although my current favorite is the rowing machine. The elliptical machine just worked really well with my knees and I could get my heart rate up easier on it than I could on any other piece of equipment, without putting extra stress on my joints. I've been doing a lot of elliptical lately though, and it gives me a great cardio workout!
I'm going to do one last set of 2-a-days for the week today. Upper body strength training and core work at lunch, then 60 minutes of cardio after work. I like going to the gym Friday after work - it's very quiet and there's a nice Zen to wrapping up the week with a good workout.
Anyway, that's my plan!

Did my usual on Friday. Full body strength training workout! I missed most of my lower body because I got there too late, but I got most of it in. I'll do my leg squats and leg lifts at home tonight.
Funny thing though...I worked my abs so hard earlier in the week that on Thursday, when I sneezed it felt reminiscent of the soreness after surgery. Owie!
Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!

Going to the gym tonight - planning to alternate cardio and full body circuit. I think I'll try the elliptical again, maybe it was a blood sugar thing last time.

I did 12 minutes on the treadmill at 2.5 and then 6 minutes on the elliptical (without getting motion sick yay!) and then 10 minutes on the bike on a really high resistance program - it was about 220 calories total. Then I did some of the weight machines - the "rowing" machine in two hand positions 20 in each position x2, some of the other arm machines 1 set of 20 in each arm position, the leg press, and crunches 2 sets of 20. After that I started getting shaky and decided to go home. Good call, blood sugar was 62. I ate about 2 hours before my workout, I should have had a small snack like I'd planned right before working out but pouchy was a little blah. It was an ok workout but I'm sapped and I've been sapped all day. I need more sleep. Ryan's schedule changed today so we're all messed up with getting up in the morning. Hopefully the next gym adventure will be a little more energetic.
