My highest BMI has been about 50.5 when I first weighed in at the surgeon's office. I have recently lost a couple of pounds so I'm actually hovering around 49.7 Am I still welcome here?  LOL

Absolutely, positively, 100% welcome!  Those of us who start out with higher BMIs face a somewhat different journey than folks with lower BMIs, but honestly anyone is welcome here.   Where are you in your journey??? Kellie

Too skinny?  HAHAHAHA! I have one more step prior to getting a date for the surgery.  I'm scheduled for the EGD (upper GI scope) this Friday, YAY!  The surgeon I've chosen is the busier of the ones who do bariatric surgery at our hospital (Army hospital on base here) so I'll probably have another six weeks or so, unless there is a cancellation. I'm REALLY hoping to possibly find out if one of his other patients can switch surgery dates with me.  DH leaves for a four month sub deployment at the end of May, so I'm hope-hope-hoping to have the surgery early May.
