I had surgery over 2 years ago. My starting BMI was 53 and it is now 35. I have not really had any weight loss complications except for during the first 6 months I couldnt hardy get  any food down they thought I had a stricture and did an endoscopy. I have had some major problems health wise that have  slowed my weight  loss down but I am really trying to overcome them, just waiting on one Dr to send notes to another Dr so I can get a much needed test. My primary care Dr thinks it is seizures. But thankfully its not the grand mal type more like a partial seizure. so ill be checking with all of you and ill try to visit an post more her. See ya 'all later Sophia

Nice to meet you Sophia,  I look forward to getting to know you!  A bmi of 35 is pretty darn good when you started  at 53! Estelle

Sophia- Hello, welcome to BMI over 50.  I'm sorry to hear about the seizure activity.  Do you have reactive hypoglycemia?  The reason I ask is that melting mama (main board mostly) has complex partial seizure activity that seems to be related to her hypoglycemia events.  I thought you might want to check out her info.  WTG on your weight loss so far :) Jenn

Hi, Sophia and welcome to our little corner of the internet.  You've made great progress; I'm sorry that other health problems have come up now, but hopefully you and your doctors will figure out what's going on so your health can continue to improve.   We're a friendly little group here, very supportive and encouraging, so I hope you'll stick around.  We're always happy to have new folks in the mix -  Kellie
