I just came home from my job interview.  Instead of Kix, I'm changing my name to Jinx. I left the house in plenty of time for my interview, but managed to get turned around somewhere in Denver I'd never been before and couldn't find my way out.  By the time I figured out where I was, I had 10 minutes to get there.  I had to call and tell them I was running late.   A truck cut me off as I was zooming to my destination and I slopped coffee on my sweater jacket, so I arrived ten minutes late with coffee slobber on my person.    I had to take a written test which was pretty straightforward, then had my interview.  The interview was partly OK, but there was one question they asked that I could not answer at all.    I told them truthfully that it sounded like a statistical question and I'd have to defer to the epidemiologist; however, I gave my interpretation of how I would answer part of it.  Sigh.  The job sounds like a good fit, I just don't feel like I was firing on al cylinders this morning and am really not feeling very positive about the outcome.    The salary is decent, too.    I want to just stay home and feel sorry for myself, but I already bought my ticket to the auto show, so I'll wander around there and be sad while looking at cars.  Oh, and my sister had to cancel lunch today, too.  What a crappy day. Kix

Hey Kix, I am so sorry sweetie, I'm pretty sure there is something in the air today. Everything is all wonky everywhere. Don't give up, It may not have been as bad as you think it was. Interviewers know that sh*t happens, and they take that into account when making their decisions. Take a deep breath, everything will be alright. (((HUGE HUGS))) Lori

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance. -Lee Iacocca

Stuff Happens.as a person who does some of the hireing I interview people all the time. 1 you called to tell them you were going to be late. That is soooo much diffrent then just walking in late. 2. everyone who has ate or drank anything in their life has spilled something on themselves so I am pretty sure those individuals have spilled something and understand. and knowledge and expeirance far out way everything else I am sure it was not half as bad as you feel. I stand by my past statement that should be so lucky as to have you work for them. enjoy your car show this to shall pass.

Hey Kix,  When I was 7.5 months pregnant for my son the company I worked for moved out of state. Well that left me in a bit of a pickle because unemployment wont cover you if your unable to work. So I applied for unemployment and of course I got it but, I had to do like everyone else and apply for 4 jobs a week. They were the worst interviews I ever did, I so didn't want those jobs. First week I applied for my min 4 jobs and I got 4 interviews and 2 jobs! They said they didn't care about my pregnancy that I could train before the baby was born and come back and be all ready.     I took one of them and worked for almost a whole month and went on UNPAID materity leave.   lol The unpaid part was terrible and we struggled. It was reallyhard with only 1/2 our income for 2 Months.  But in the long run that job opened up a new world for me and the struggle was all worth it. You never whats going to happen and I just know that either way it was for a reason!  You are a great person and if the interviewer couldn't see that well its because there is something better waiting for you!  HUGZ  Estelle
