I am going to be in Rochester in October for a wedding - I can't wait, its such a pretty area.  I drove from San Antonio to Rochester a few years ago and the prettiest parts of the drive were the KY/WV/PA areas, but northern NY was a close second.  This time we are definitely flying though, gas is too expensive and my tailbone can't take sitting in the car that long.  The mosaic was at the entrance to the park, its a landscape scene of the area, very pretty.  Thanks for complimenting the pictures - sometimes I think I am getting better.  These weren't stellar but they were nice.  Its all in the camera though, with the right equipment its a lot harder for me to ruin the picture :) (Edited because I forgot WV was between KY and NY)

WAY TO GO!! Isn't it great to get outside and see all the beautiful Spring colors??!! Fort Hood, Tx was our first duty station and we didn't really care for the Killeen area but LOVED Austin and San Antonio. Thanks for the pics I had forgotten just how pretty Tx is! Hugs, Jamie

Thanks!  Austin is very pretty, I like it better than SA, but the whole hill country area can definitely be pretty, especially in spring when the wildflowers go crazy - that should be in another few weeks.  All the best, Jenn

I'm already hooked - I used to hike a lot in NM, but once I started spraining ankles right and left in high school and college I got nervous about it.  I am still nervous about it, but its been a few years since I've sprained one, I think it has to do with the expensive motion control sneakers.  I definitely hope to do more, and someday I'll be in CO hiking up the first third or so of a 14er, haha.  Thanks for the encouragement and outdoorsy inspiration :)
