I had to finish my certification class today for water fitness.  We spent 4 hours in the pool in the HOT sunshine.  Most of that time was walking/jogging/kicking/sculling/ etc. to practice techniques for water fitness.  Lots of time treading water as well.  I'm worn out! Kix -- the fitness instruction that your lady has might be limited to arthritis only, which is a different type of certification.  We are supposed to have at least 1/2 of our classes be cardio at a level where everyone in the class can acheive a good cardio workout.  This can be mixed in with strength training and conditioning.  The rest of the class should focus on balance, flexibilty, strength training and conditioning, as well as a warm up and cool down period with stretching at the end. Hope you all moved this weekend!

I have felt bad for about 48 hrs now - not so bad that I need to stay in bed but bad enough that I don't want to do much besides stay in bed.  No exercise for me, although tomorrow I do intend to do some walking to stretch out my muscles.  I just feel blech, a little queasy, very tired.  Still extremely sore, and still dumping off of weird things - half a can of veggie soup?

Sounds like so much fun teaching water fitness.  How wonderful that you found something you like this much and you get paid for it and you get exercise from it!

For me, it is great exercise!  I really love it, and the fact that I get my gym membership for free, plus I get paid to workout is a plus.  I don't make that much, but it is still a plus!

I went on a two-mile hike today, a fairly intense two-mile hike.  We ran in to some wild pigs, it was kind of freaky, they make A LOT of noise!  I was thrilled that I was able to finish the hike, I got a stitch in my side on the last 1/4 mile or so, and my thighs were still a little sore from the elliptical the other day, but it felt so good to be able to do the harder uphill stuff without being out of breath!

WOW Jenn!  Excellent for you!  Isn't it amazing how much better we can breathe!  I know that I'm amazed each time I go for my allergy shot.  Allergy is in the 6th floor, and I normally park in the parking garage on level 2, so when I walk into the building, I'm on floor 2.  I walk up the stairs to the 6th floor for my shot.  I'm not really out of breath when I get there.  I'm breathing a bit heavy, but not out of breath or anything like that.  It's a nice feeling! Keep up your excellent work!
