Wow, thanks for the good vibes, everyone!  I had to laugh when I arrived at the health dept today -- it is about a block from the office building where my sister's financial planner is located.  I was a bit surprised at the newness of the health department's building -- all the health department offices I have worked at in the past have been in old, termite-ridden buildings.  This place was pleasant and nice without being obnoxiously upscale.  The receptionist gets extra points for being friendly, many aren't these days.  The drive wasn't too bad (on a nice day), and rather than take the freeway, I took the side streets and found myself driving through Cherry Hills Village, one of Denver's better neighborhoods.  All the sports figures and assorted other rich folks live in this area. Quite deluxe!  It's the kind of neighborhood I could have lived in had I actually bothered to finish law school!    Anyway, my resume is now in their hands, so we'll see what happens next.  As for the other jobs I have applied for, well, the federal hiring process is notoriously slow.   Kix
