It's going to be a glorious day in CO (at least for part of the day).  I plan to go out and enjoy it. What will you do to move your body today? Kix

I don't know what came over me, but after 30 mins on the dreadmill and the 5 min cool down I wasn't ready to stop so I did 10 more mins.... 45 in a row.... and my thighs didn't even complain.... LOL

Karen, it sounds like you are more than recovered from your TT/hernia!  I haven't even had a TT and my thighs and knees complain loudly if I try to push my treadmill routine too far. Kix

It's snowy here in Cleveland.  Again.  Sigh - -  I'm really looking forward to spring and being able to do some outdoor exercise.  I've made a new friend at the gym and she's interested in doing some hiking, biking, etc. with me.  Neither of my girlfriends are the outdoor activity types and neither is my regular workout buddy, so it's nice to have found someone that's interested in trying some of this stuff.   As for today, with the snow keeping us indoors, I'll do another 2-a-day at the gym.  Upper body strength training and core work at lunch, then 50-60 minutes of cardio after work.  It's felt really good to get back to my regular routine after being on vacation last week -  Good luck to everyone finding the time, motivation, and energy to move today! Kellie, do you actually like having a workout buddy?  I don't like the distractions of having to worry about someone else while I'm exercising.  I guess deep down I'm kind of a social loner, I have no problem doing stuff by myself, and sometimes I prefer it to having to deal with other people's baggage (so to speak).  Sorry to hear about the snow today, but if it makes you feel any better, we're supposed to have iffy weather the next few days!  Kix

Hi Kix, Yesterday I hooked my road bike up to the trainer and rode for 45 mins. Hey I found a new ab exercise too...Swiffering!! I did the house yesterday (I haven't used one in a long time I usually just do the old hands and knees deal) and today my stomach and sides are hurtin'! So I guess I'll be swiffering more often kills two birds with one stone.. Soccer practice tonight so if the weather holds out I'll walk around the field. It was so cold and nasty yesterday but they managed to get one game in. The weather here has been so wacky lately! Have a GREAT DAY! Jamie

My goodness, exactly how hard are you using that Swiffer?    I use the Swiffer on the kitchen floor, but it doesn't do a very good job cleaning the grout, and I can't kneel on my knees to scrub the floor the way my gramma taught me (hands and knees on the floor with a scrub brush).  Did you get any of that nasty tornado-ish weather?  Kix

We got some gusty wind here in Columbus but I don't think any of tornado**** too close to us I know Atlanta got hit pretty  hard. A girlfriend of mine in Savannah said they had some tornados touch down in Effingham County, Ga.  I used it until it pinched my hand so badly that I ended up tossing it. AND then my hubby..sweatheart that he is bought me a swiffer. I'm trying not to damage it... He bought me a Dyson while living in Hawaii and so far I've managed to totally destroy the extension wand. I have no idea what in the world happened. I use it for corners and under furniture and stuff and the plastic or whatever it is in between the metal coils just started ripping. My house is my pride and joy and if it's not clean I'm not a happy camper and tend to throw little fits until everyone understand s either GET out or help.... BUT it's a good thing because housework counts as exercise!! Jamie

We are going to try out Anytime Fitness today.  I plan to try the elliptical and then when it murders me I'll move over to a treadmill for a while.  I CAN'T do any recumbent bike today - my tailbone doth protest too much.

We went to the gym - hubby liked it much more than other gym and is fairly gung-ho.  Wants to go again tomorrow morning (we have 5 trial workouts).  It'd be very nice if he continued to be this excited about it, we shall see but judging by previous experience I doubt it.  I did 5 sad scary minutes on the elliptical after which I was fairly sure I would die.  Then I did 15 minutes on the recumbent bike because I had to SIT DOWN.  I liked the idea of the elliptical and the first few minutes on it are always fun, but then I get a combination of motion sickness and dizziness.  My goal is to work up to 15 minutes on it.  Hubby did 10 on elliptical, a circuit of arm machines, and I think 15 on the treadmill at 2mph.  He is in slightly better shape than me now, but it he used to be in amazing shape so he is not pleased with how hard it was on him.  I am kind of nauseas right now but its the motion thing I think.
