Motivation to Exercise

I need a little nudge. I am not enjoying exercising now. I still use my mini-stepper, rebounder and weights occasionally, but need to get back into the routine of using them daily. Any of you have a "secret" out there as to how you "re-motivated" yourself  to exercise again? I ALWAYS feel so much better after I do, but it's getting myself there to do it! Ever been there? Since the weather is getting nicer, I need to get my bike down to be able to ride that soon. Thanks for letting me "confess". Love, Cindy

Well if you enjoy being outdoors, the Spring weather may motivate you more. Get that bike out!  I often dread goingt o Curves but I know I have to. I don't leave NOT going as an option.  Routines are easier to follow once they become a habit, so take the first step and make yourself go...each time will get easier.  Good Luck.  Jeanine

Motivation to exercise is definitely my weakpoint.  If you find a secret, please share!  I think I exercised more BEFORE surgery.  I am very patchy with my workouts now.

I try to tell myself that if I exercise than I can have a treat every once in awhile but if I don't exercise than I better be good all time. Since I still like food! I exercise So i can still enjoy it!  I also signed up for a race in sept and told every one I know That i'm going to do it and I don't want to admit that I didn't get ready!  I know when I do that race that It will be amazing to everyone including myself.   I have always made my goals around weight loss this time my goal is to run that race so its not as hard. for me anyway! good luck  Estelle

The main thing that motivates me is knowing I do not burn a single calorie without formal exercise, and I'm too afraid of ending up back where I belong!  Fear can sometimes be an excellent motivator.  Even so, I have an occasional day where I just don't want to!  On those days, I promise myself a small reward (maybe an extra lotto scratcher, or another inexpensive item I've wanted but told myself I didn't need) and somehow I get it done.
