So yeah, apparently it was changed to the 15th this year so as not to fall on Holy Week. My green shirt is dirty. Bummer.
Thanks for the confusion Roman Catholic Church.

We went doiwntown to the St. Pat's parade and then had salmon fish and chips at a nearby restaurant. We also bought some (nonwinning) Powerball tickets. I didn't wear green because my green shirt is short sleeved and it was too @*$% cold to wear it. There are only a few times that I regret WLS, and not being able to drink on occasions like St. Pat's or at the baseball game makes me sad. Even so, the benefits far outweigh the negatives! I really did want a big ol' pint of Guinness at the restaurant today, though. We are supposed to get snow on the actual St. Pat's Day, darn it. We really do not need any more snow. Kix
Does your surgeon say no alcohol ever again? I wasn't allowed to drink for a year, but have an occasional drink now. I am, however, a cheap date as one or two drinks leaves my happily loopy. I'm definitely more sensitive to alcohol now and am very careful about how much I drink. But if your surgeon says no, well, then I'll just have to have a pint or two of Guiness for you now and then...

I am straight up drunk off one margarita these days - or 1.5 glasses of wine - I've tried on 3 occasions and its almost scary how hard it hits. I don't think I'll ever be a regular drinker again. Before surgery I had a glass or two of wine several times a week. Now, no way.
And the use of other substances will occur even less often - I smoked a little green stuff last night, as I am prone to do maybe once a year on a casual basis - and either it was the strongest stuff I've ever had or I am now way more sensitive to it also. I hardly had any and I was way beyond gone. I am basically missing several hours of time, and I've never felt like that. I didn't care for it and it will be a long while before I do it again. No one else had the same reaction so I am assuming this is surgery related also.
Very strange and mildly creepy.
