Hey everyone.. Well, it's official, I've started to see huge changes in myself and I just wanted to share..  In the past 3 months (whi*****ludes my liquid diet pre-surgery).. I've lost 59.5 lbs (as of this morning though I'm into the 60's ).. I started Medifast on December 8th and lost 33.5 lbs pre-surgery,  and since surgery just 6 short weeks ago, I've lost an additional 26 lbs.. Here's the ahh moment.. I've never (even on WW) lost this much weight before and the fact that I've done it in 3 short months is still unbelieveable to me.. And the official # on the scale, I've never seen before. I stopped getting on the scale from 180 - 250 so now that I'm down into the 240's it's a real WOW moment.. (Hey Estelle I'll have clothese coming your way if you want them ) I can see the changes in myself (other than how my clothes don't fit).. in that My face is much smaller My stomach is WAYYYYYYYY smaller I can walk for over a mile without lower back pain and,  I smile more.. When did you all start to see major changes in yourself and what were they? I'd love to hear them..

My first major change was maybe a week after surgery - I had lost 35 lbs before surgery so by a week out I'd probably lost 45 lbs.  I got in the car and didn't have to use a seatbelt extender.  I was just joking around with husband and said "I bet I won't have to use it for much longer" and he said "try it now" - we were both thrilled when I could snap the seatbelt closed!  I still get a little thrill from it honestly, especially in other people's cars, where I used to just pretend it was closed and always sit in the back.  The next major change was also car-related, my stomach no longer bumped the steering wheel, and then a few weeks later I had to move the seat up.  Then my wedding rings had to be put away because they were too big for even my first finger.  Ironically, all of this came without major changes in clothing size.  I think I lost about 100lbs before I could fit in a smaller size.  Now the sizes are changing faster thankfully.  Congratulations!!  60lbs!  WTG!

wow lisa! congratulations on your outstanding success so far! it's just such fun when you start noticing changes...i think the first thing i really noticed was that when i got into my truck, my stomach was no longer smashed up against the steering wheel. sometimes now, i get in my truck and look at the inches of open space between me and the steering wheel, and just remember what it used to be like. i WANT to remember all those things so i don't find myself there again. all the best to you! deb

Congrats to you!   The changes are great and notice something different each day.   I noticed this week that after my daughter had driven the car, I did not have to put the seat way back before I got in, I like driving closer to the steering wheel!   That was huge for me.    I guess the other things would be having the clothes be loose, so loose I could not wear them to work this week.   And using hooks on my bra's that I never used before since I always used the ones furthest out!   And last but not least, I can bend to tie my shoes and not have to sit in the chair to do so. You go girlfriend!! Talk soon! Michelle...

What we need to do is all get together and sure bring um on! lol  Congrats!    My friend and I are going to join this Dance class where you learn to dance and get your exercise at the same time  in Glens Falls wanna join ?  C'mon Michelle and Jeanine can too we could have a blast! lol we saw it in the paper today.  I'm in like a 20 some 22's not 18s yet i'm still waiting,,,,and kinda getting bummed about it but allllll my cloths are getting too big now so any time with those 18s my new scale finaly reads what my old one said so I am losing just not as fast as I wi**** were!!  The walking for along time is amazing isn't it.   I think my biggest wow is that I can now stand for longer than a min without shooting and burning pain in my right Leg.   I had a condition from being so over weight that my nerves in my hip were pinched when I stood.  Its almost all better already 6 months out!    Guess thats what 130 lbs will do!  Estelle
