Well, I didn't wake up until noon - I was up until 4am last night working, so I'm just having "breakfast" now.  My schedule is definitely weird.  I usually have some milk relatively soon after waking up to "break the fast" like you do, but I can't really eat anything for a while after I wake up - maybe an hour or two.  Since surgery I really have to force myself to even drink anything right after I wake up.  Thundercles is not a morning pouchy.

OK, makes much more sense since you don't get up till noon. I couldn't imagine getting up at 5AM like I usually do and not eating all day ... I guess I thought everyone was like me and got up early ...lol! ;)

All right - here's today's plan.  I have been HUNGRY for the past two days.  To make sure it wasn't in my head yesterday, every time I felt hungry I would have 8oz of water and wait a 1/2 hour.  Usually if its in my head I forget about it but if I'm physically hungry, it gets more intense.  It was physical hunger, and I ended up eating more than I posted (I had a small bowl of fiber cereal with high protein milk, and then later on I had some turkey and cheese and a couple of prunes).  I ended up pushing up in to 1600 calories yesterday, but maybe its good that I listened to my body, since that's what I am trying to learn to do.  Obviously something worked because I lost 1.5 lbs in my sleep.  My point is, besides coming clean about eating, that what I am about to list is my PLAN.  Hopefully I'll stick to it because its a good plan, but if I don't that's ok as long as I am eating for the right reason.  Right?  Who knows S- 8oz mootopia with 8oz coffee and ice - 90cal, 14g protein B - hmmm, can you get a healthy meal at Jack in the Box?  yes, oddly enough, and it was good - 1 side salad with a little bit of low-fat basalmic dressing, and 2 grilled chicken strips (which were VERY tender and quite good) - I generally hate JITB so I was surprised that I would actually eat that again.  170cal and 25g protein :)  L - quesadilla - 2 mission plus! whole grain tortillas, 1/2c cheese (half mozz and half cheddar) - 400cal, 20g protein, 8g fiber D - 2oz grilled chicken breast, 1/2c pinto beans, 1/4c corn, 1/4c ro-tel, 1/4c brown rice - 300cal, 21g protein, 10g fiber S - 12oz mootopia, 4oz double-strength chai, 1 tbsp honey, ice - 200cal, 21g protein Calories - 1147 Fat - 29g Carbs - 114g Fiber - 20g Protein - 101g Usually I can't quite finish a whole quesadilla or chicken/rice/veggies so these are over-estimates

That sounds just like me - I have noticed my head hunger in a big way and up to now have just started eating when it hits. The past few days I have been drinking so much water that when that little voice pops up, I drink some more and usually I'm really not that hungry. It's been a good lesson in restraint and relearning to listen to my body. I haven't done that for a couple of months. Today has been another good day, sticking with the plan (so far) and trying to mix things up a bit. I lost 4 pounds yesterday so I must of done something right! pre-workout snack: PB pudding snack: small banana, atkins protein bar snack: 1/3 c. raisins, atkins protein bar lunch: WW Homestyle chicken with green beans, 3 strawberry starbursts snack: 1 ounce of ham with a slice of cheese, fat free yogurt dinner: grilled barbecue chicken w/ cooked zucchini and parmesan cheese snack: 1/2c. strawberries, 1/2. sugar free cool whip, 1 granola bite calories: 1785 fat: carbs: 223 fiber: 30 protein: 120 water: 120 weight: 170 (yahoo!!)

Hi Cynthia!  A new poster, yay!  I hope you continue posting because I'm interested to see what such a successful post-op eats each day.

Looks like a pretty balanced day to me, good job with the protein I've read that if you are going to supplement protein its best to do it when you wake up or at night, for optimal absorption.
