Well thanks Marge.  They may be a nice color, but there is a downside to my eyes, you don't really want them trust me.  I have a condition called keratoconus, and I am progressively going blind because my corneas are thinning.  Eventually I will have a corneal transplant - but I am trying to hold off as long as possible because you can really only have 2-3 corneal transplants, and most of the corneas you get from donors are very old (people who died from old age) so they don't last very long (5-10 years).  If I can get to 50 before my first transplant I might have sight still when I retire.  If I get lucky and get corneas from a person who died young (there's a morbid thought) I might have the same pair of corneas for 20 or more years, but beggars can't be choosers and most donors are old. Right now, my eyes are already too bad for glasses, so I can only wear hard contact lenses that sort of hold my corneas down.  I have to change prescriptions about 2-3 times per year because they change so quickly.  I'd much rather have healthy brown eyes, believe me!

I actually know someone who has had a cornea transplant!  He had to have his removed and wear like a patch over it for a few months then they replaced it with a diff one, I think thats how it happened, I don't know what exactly was his reason or if it was the same as yours biut I used to work with him and he went from barely being able to see to not being able to see at all then seeing pretty good, last time i saw hime he wasn't wearing glasses at all.
