Wow moment to share
Yesterday we had 10 guys here at work that we might do business with. for a meeting. My boss decided to take everyone across the street to lunch a Johnny Carino's.
We walked across the street, no biggy I thought it's all downhill on the way there. Before I would have made every excuse to either not go or to drive.
It was a beautiful 75 degree day and very nice to be outside. One of the gentleman talked to me during lunch and the entire way walking back up to the office I was telling him some little story. It wasn't until I got to the top of 25 stairs leading into our building that I realized - I talked the entire way up and never got out of breath!
I was telling my husband about it last night and he just sat there smiling. He said it's hard to imagine that a year ago I wouldn't have made it up the stairs without stopping let alone to talk the entire way up.
What are some of your latest WOW's? Big or small - share them all with us!
that's a good one! congratulations on your success!
i've found myself taking stairs in various places now a days -- i'd never have even thought about it before. i once didn't attend a work group luncheon cause i knew the restaurant would seat groups upstairs and i didn't think i could do the steps.
the other day one of my co-workers said he wanted to go to lunch a few blocks away, and when we walked out the door of our building, i turned right to walk to the restaurant, he turned left to go to the parking garage and get a car! and he's 25 years younger than me and very physically fit.
sometimes i feel like i'm someone else from who i used to be.

Karma....What would life be without it? 250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!
Yesterday I spent the day with my best friend from high school in Iowa who I hadn't seen in almost 13 years, she moved to WA a couple of months ago and we got back into touch a few weeks ago so I drove a couple of hours north to see her and we spent the day wandering around the small town she lives in and then went to the beach in the afternoon. Here's the WOW... we started wandering down the beach, picking up shells, and talking about old times, and before I knew it we had walked probably 2 miles from the car... couldn't even see it anymore, and when Anna saw me looking back she freaked out thinking that she had "taken" me too far, and offered to go back and get the car, I just laughed, because i wasn't even out of breath, and hadn't even realized that we had walked that far...I felt like I could of walked forever, and I wasn't even out of breath when we got back.
I almost cried because it reminded me of last summer when another friend came to visit from Arizona and I took her to the beach and I had to sit on a piece of driftwood and watch her play in the ocean for the first time ever and couldn't join in because i was just to fat to move...
Man, a lot can change in 5 months!
