I am so snotty.  So much for this not being a bad cold.  It hit me in the middle of the night and now its a full-blown mucous fest in my nose and lungs.  My husband is an enabler.  He takes germs and hosts them in his body for a couple of days, making them stronger and training them to be germ ninjas Then he passes them on to innocent people who instead of a wimpy three-day cold get 2 weeks of ninja misery.  Just ONCE I would like to be the one who caught the cold and passed it on.  In 8 years every single cold I caught came from him.  And what did I give him in return?  Perfection, an overabundance of love, delicious cooking, and  all-around wonderfulness This is not fair.   So what did you eat today?  Could you taste it?  Again, not fair.

Hey Kellie -  Fruit Biscuits are these little Dutch cracker type cookies with dried currants in them. Low fat and low sugar. None of our local stores carry them. We have to drive over an hour away to a Dutch store to get them. Last time we went my husband asked them to order a case. ;) When we were in Florida the relatives visiting from Holland gave me a few packs they had brough since they found out I liked them. Unfortunatly one was apple flavored and too much sugar for me, but hubby is enjoying those. They are called Sultana Natural Fruit Biscuits.

THanks for the info, Jan.  Although my local stores probably don't carry them either, I'll look around.  I may also check for them in Amish country, as some of the stores there carry more Dutch items than is common in many areas.   Kellie

Sorry you're such a snot machine.  Like your husband, I am an enabler and maker of serious germ ninjas.  I very rarely catch a cold, but I suspect I've passed them along to others.  Sorry, it's the blessing and curse of having a killer immune system.  After yesterday's venture into buttered movie popcorn land, I'm trying hard to stay on track today.  So here's my plan and I'm going to do my best to follow it!

B - 1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker weight control oatmeal

S #1 - 1 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. SF preserves, ~1/2 c. sliced strawberries

S #2 - 9 Quaker multi-grain minis, ~1 tbsp. natural peanut butter, 1 medium banana [workout #1 - lower body strength training, core work for 1 hour]

L - Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers cajun chicken and shrimp over rice, 1 medium apple

S #3 - venti non-fat latte w/ sugar-free vanilla syrup

S #4 - 1 slice whole-wheat bread, 3 slices turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, alfalfa sprouts [workout #2 - fitness assessment at gym, followed by 1 hour of cardio - probably 35-40 minutes on elliptical trainer and 20-25 minutes on rowing machine] D - 3-4 oz. grilled shrimp, steamed broccoli or asparagus, 1/2 c. Uncle Ben's wild rice

S #5 - 2 sugar free fudgesicles
