The first couple of weeks that my hair fell out freaked me out! Completely! It even freaked out my hairdresser, which freaked me out even more! Good for you for the good attitude - it is kind of scary at first. But it does grow back - my hairdresser inspects my hair every time I go in and he declares me almost completely healed

How cool, Kristy, that you have such a positive attitude about this. I haven't yet had the problem, but I am hoping to follow your outlook. BTW, you are doing great!! I am very happy for you. -Julie

I lost a fair amount of hair - it lasted about three months.  I did my best to ignore it, but I was VERY HAPPY when it stopped.  Now I've got a bunch of sprouts about an inch long sticking up everywhere :)  You have a great attitude about it.

love your attitude! the hair loss really bothered me. my hair is extremely curly, so finally (just about six months ago) i got it cut real short. and it's actually growing again, and turned out to be incredibly easy to deal with...i'm suddenly "low maintenance" for the first time! congrats on your success! deb

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance. -Lee Iacocca

Kristy, Just to encourage you - it will stop.  Mine started coming out at 3 months, and the hair loss slowed at 6-7 months, and was nearly gone by 9 months.  It has been growing back and now the new growth is about 3 inches long.  I cut off my hair because of the hairloss, and I'm getting used the short hair.  My hairstyle right now is "fun" because it is thinner on the ends, but thick in the middle part of my hair.  This is causing my hair to "bulge" out in strange areas, and I've been working hard to straighten my hair as well because the new growth is much wavier than the rest.  I'm adjusting and working with my hairdresser to find solutions.  I was tempted to cut it REALLY short and layered, but then I came to my senses and just have left well enough alone. It will grow, be patient while it is being lost and try and think up some new hairstyles.  Just know that the loss means that you are being sucessful with your surgery.
