Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry for your struggle. I have been on thyroid replacement for more than 20 yrs, and while it helps with other symptoms, it really does little for weight loss. It definitely doesn't prevent re-gain of weight lost. Oh, how nice that would be! My best advice is to make sure you are logging everything you are eating, (preferably on a website that will calculate for you) and then sit with your nutritionist and find out what is causing the regain. Hang in there. You will get this figured out. -Julie
Practice safe eating - always use condiments.

Hi Amy - I will pray for the Lord to give you the strength you need. Also, remember to follow up with your thyroid labs in about 6 weeks to see if you need to increase your dose. I feel the best when my tsh level is below 1 -- I know that normal is between .03 and 3, but the closer I am to 1 or slightly under, I feel like my symptoms are not there. If I get above 2, my hair begins to fall out, my voice is hoarse, my skin is dry, my nails break, I am incredibly tired - you get the idea. I currently take 200mcg, but started out on 25. They like to increase you SLOWLY, so make sure to follow up and ask for a higher dose if needed.
