Gym is Open (Presidents' Day 2/18)
Greetings, all! Don't forget to think about the presidents while you are enjoying time off (or not, if you work for an evil overlord like my sister does).
I hope to exercise today. I did something to my foot Saturday night and the side of my arch was quite annoyed. I stayed off it all day Sunday and it feels better, so I plan to do killer treadmill and upper body work. I'll post my actual work later.
What did you do to move your body today?
Kix
Going to head to the gym after work tonight, do my normal treadmill, bike and lower body routine.
I found this website that has this Couch to 5k training program that I started yesterday that is pretty nifty, if anyone is interested the website is http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
While i wasn't able to run all the intervals i was able to run for 5 minutes total and walked the rest of the time at about 4.2 mph! I haven't run in at least 7 years so i was pretty pleased with myself...plus i am trying to quit smoking again, so i think it will help...lol
I also wanted to thank whoever suggested the Enell sports bra, I ordered one and it is the most amazing thing ever!!!
Have a great day everyone!

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance. -Lee Iacocca

Another week, another workout plan
. It's funny, I got all organized a couple of weeks ago and actually created a specific workout plan, even put it up on the frig. And I haven't followed it at all. I'm just so use to being flexible that I'm having a hard time getting use to a set plan. But today I was determined to stick with the plan and did! So hey, chalk that up to a good morning!
I did 45 minutes of sprints - I haven't done those in a few weeks and boy did I feel it! I was also sore from some killer snowshoeing yesterday (I realllyyy pushed myself, did about 4 hours of leg killing trail breaking) so I was a bit sore to begin with. But it felt good to do them again, I always enjoy it when I do!
Let's hope that I can stick with my schedule for the rest of the week

Kix, you take it easy on that foot! I'm the queen of pushing myself in the interest of staying on track, and then I make things even worse. So take it easy today if you can and give your foot a break.
I had a meeting at lunch time, so did not make it to the gym. I will go after lunch for 45-60 minutes of cardio and stretches for my legs. My left hamstring has been sore and both my knees have felt somewhat swollen. I've been taking it easy and doing a lot of gentle stretching, which seems to be helping.
Hope everyone has a good workout today -
Kellie
Happy Tuesday morning Kix. I'm post late about yesterday's exercise.
I taugh****er aerobics last night - it was a challenging class in my head -- BUT my only 3 students were my husband and 2 women who have not come in 4 months. I had to go easier on the workout, but it was still a good one.
I'm off to water aerobics this morning, and I hope to post on time today!
Also, I'm using dh's Mac downstairs, and it doesn't let me use different fonts or colors, so I feel like I'm boring when I use this computer!
