Gym is Open (Wednesday 2/13)
The gym is open.
I didn't exercise much yesterday. I felt so blasted tired all day long, I could have curled up in the middle of the road and slept all day. I did get to aquacise, so the day wasn't a total loss. I hate missing a day of exercise, especially since we are expecting a honking storm on Thursday and it might be another 10 inches of snow in my area. AARGH.
What did you do to move your body today?
Kix
After feeling great doing 15 mins yesterday I felt GREAT!
So today I upped the ante to 30 mins and my thigh muscles were jumping in tingling when I was done.... LOL
So I guess tomorrow I'll back it off some.... sigh.....

Good morning, Kix. I hope your energy level picks back up soon, but for now just take care of yourself. I've learned to be more attuned to what my body is telling me and try to respond accordingly. Sometimes I have no choice but to push on through, but if I can take it easy for a day or so, it can help.
As for my exercise plans for the day, I'm scheduled to do my lower body strength training routine and core work at lunch. But I think I overdid that on Monday because both my knees have been sore along the inside of my knee joints. I think I may have overextended when I was doing lunges or squats. Anyway, I'm going to try a scaled-back version of my lower body work today, skip the lunges/squats, and do some of the exercises the physical therapist showed me for my knees. They are feeling much better today but I don't want to pu****
I plan to do cardio at the end of the day - probably 20-30 minutes on the bike and 20-30 minutes on the rowing machine. I did that yesterday and it seemed to agree with my knees.
Keep us posted on how you are feeling -
Kellie
I know what you mean about dragging - this little thing has been wiping me out too. Just take care of yourself - I took 3 days off and I'm glad I did.
I woke up this morning and couldn't move my arms (seriously, that strength training class really did a number on me! I haven't been this sore in a longgggg time.). And since I haven't done any running since Friday, I decided to do a shorter, 3 mile run today. My arms were screaming at me the entire time - thank god my legs weren't quite as bad (although there were a little sore too).
And tonight will be more exercise - playing some pool with, get this, a man
. I actually have a real live date with a guy I met on E-Harmony. We've been talking for a week and finally set a time to meet. This one seems to have some potential, so that's been kind of encouraging. Funny thing is I was matched with him the day before my account expired - finally, my money might pay off!
Have a good night hon and take care of yourself

Hi Ya Kix,
I did 20 mins elliptical and I cleaned for about 3 hours .
Snow Day I live about 30 miles from work so when the kids have no school I try to stay home too.
I ate all day (or atleast it felt like I did) but I moved alot too.
I'm so ready for warmer weather, I think this long @ss winter better be over soon! I wanna go play outside! I live about 50 yards from the lake where the public swim is. when I first decided to have the surgery Its one of the things I was looking forward to most, swimming with other people and not being so self concious we'll see how I do lol
Thanks Hon
