saying Hi

I havent posted in here in a long time, so I thot I would say hi. Im 36 days away from my surgery date. Im getting pretty nervous, but its been a long wait. I cant wait til it gets here. I am getting the VSG in Mexico. It will be great to have a nice, pretty place to recover too.  I will soon be doing my pre-op diet. I have noticed that lately Im not eating near as much. I went to my doctor here in town last week and I had lost 4 lbs since I had been there before Christmas. I was surprised. My Internist is really excited for me. He supports my decision to go to Mexico and will be doing any follow-up care that I might need. I have a nutritionist that I will be seeing soon. I have also started seeing a therapist to tackle my eating problems...so hopefully, I am doing the right things to ensure good weight loss after surgery. anyway...have a good week..

Wow sounds like you have  things worked out. That is my only concern for people who go to Mexico is that they have problems with after care but you got it handled good job!!!!!!

hi and Thanks... yes, that was one of my worries as well, so I made sure that my Internist would be able to care for me afterward if I needed it...I was pleasantly surprised that he was so supportive of my decision.. so, Im in good hands

Good luck with your surgery! I am in Michigan.. with FEET of snow on the ground.. so a visit to nice warm Mexico would be heaven.. along with getting a new lease on life with WLS! Here's hoping for a smooth surgery and speedy recovery.

Im looking forward to the tropical weather myself....and we dont even have snow here in Arkansas...but its fairly cold and dreary looking.. lookout beach, here I come....well, soon anway lol

Great news!  Good for you!!  ANY changes in eating habits and/or getting to the demons in our head is definetly a good thing! Please keep us updated...don't stay away so long.  As you get closer, you will have apprehension and fear....let us ease you through it all.  HUGS  Jeanine
