Thanks for the welcome Kix!  Yes, Wilson is a shih tzu...my baby is 7 months old now.  Eventually I'll get a picture of myself on there....when I decide to let someone take one!

Hi Donnakay! Glad to see you joining us in this little ritual we like to do each week - it's a great way to stay accountable. Congrats on losing so much! You'll find it goes up and down quite a bit... one month you'll lose a bunch and then the next barely anything at all. Our bodies are kind of strange that way. Congrats and welcome!!

Better late than never! Nice job on the loss! I'm amazed you are able to continue sticking with the program while staying in a hotel - I go away for a weekend, get off my schedule and feel all out of sorts - kudos!!

I do that all the time - write some long response and lose the whole thing because I forgot to hit the submit button. I sometimes think I am already losing my memory, at the ripe ole' age of 42! Congrats on the loss, a pound is a pound and you can definitely be proud of it!

It was a crazy weekend for me...celebrated my daughter Karyn's 30th birthday (she had her RNY 1/05)  She is quite the happy camper having gone in those 2 yrs from 315 lbs to 127 lbs!!  I am so happy for her. She also has a new man in her life who she is crazy about and she will get her teaching degree in 10 short months...so this will be a banner year fro her indeed!  Anyway, I did forego the cake and ice cream, but I didn't get all my water in and not the proper amount of protein either. Its hard when you socialize...then Sunday we went to the movies...first time in MONTHS!  I had a little popcorn there.  Sooooooooooo..my weight loss wasn't that great this week, but ANY loss is a cool thing.  Still going strong at Curves...sweating to the jive music there...its kinda fun.  HUGS to all....Jeanine Starting weight: 284 Surgery Weight:  252 Last Week:  211 This week 209.5

127 pounds? Wow, good for her!!! Sounds like you had quite a bit to celebrate this weekend, lots of fun! And congrats on the loss! I'll bet it's encouraging to see how well your daughter has done, you know it's possible! And it is tough to watch what you eat when you socialize - I usually give myself a little bit of freedom to eat something special, but half the time they have bowls of stuff sitting right in front of me and it is so easy to take a few here, take a few there, and before you know it the entire bowl is empty! Good for you for the self control, that's tough! What movie did you see? Anything good?

Surprisingly, I was not tempted by the cake & ice cream since sweets have never been my downfall. I did have a fleeting emotion of feeling "left out" though. I immediately talked myself out of that & replaced the feeling by a mental image that everyone there consuming cake & ice cream turned into big fat cows!  LMAO  I'm so bad. But it helped!!  We saw Bucket List on Sunday...I like it alot.  Since I was a child, we had popcorn every Sunday evening...it was like supper since we had our big meal in the early afternoon after church.  I've loved it ever since. Good thing is that I eat a whole lot less than I used to!  When DH & I were in our 30's...EVERY night while watching TV I ate a HUGE bowl of popcorn with a whole stick of butter melted on it & DH consumed whole boxes of Little Debbie snack cakes and sometimes  1/2 sheet cake in one sitting!  Then we'd top it off with 2 Liters of Diet Coke!  LOL  Young people don't realize that what they eat in their 30's will end up hurting them one day, if not on a healthy regimen.  Well...that was the past and this is now. I can't believe how bad I used to eat compared to present day.  Better late than never to learn.  HUGS  Jeanine

My goodness, why the DIET coke then?  I've always found that strange when people eat a huge meal and then diet coke.  Go for the real coke if you already ate that much.  (Or maybe I just don't like diet coke..)
