Monday Weigh In!!!
How was everyone's weekend? Do anything fun, exciting or daring? How many actually watched the Super Bowl? I was suppose to go to a Super Bowls Party but wasn't feeling too good so I ended up watching the last 4 minutes, which was a pretty good part to watch! I love to see underdogs win!
So, is everyone ready to get out those scales?? Here we go:
Surgery weight: 371
last week's weight: 170
this week's weight: 168
I'm happy with the 2 pounds - only 8 more to go! I have a feeling these last 8 pounds are going to be slower than molasses, but I'm determined to get them off.
Ok, time for the rest of you to step on those scales and tell us how ya did!
Mornin', PJ. I had a good weekend; went to the gym Saturday, then did several errands. I did some baking Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon to take to a Super Bowl Party. Got a bit carried away with the baking, so had lots of leftovers. I brought all that stuff to the office today, so I can spread the calories out amongst my co-workers. I ate way too much at the Super Bowl festivities, including lots of things that were saltier than my usual fare. And it ALL showed up on the scale this morning - see below for details.
Beginning weight - 396
Surgery weight - 386
Last Monday - 189.4
Today - 194 (ugh - Super Bowl knoshing) Anyway, I'm back to my normal routine today, so I hope to drop the extra fluids and any "real" weight over the next few days!

I know that if I had gone to the SB party I would have gained instead of lost, so I feel for ya. I guess I should be thankful for not feeling well??
Knowing you, you will lose it pretty easily - and like you said, it's probably fluids. Thank goodness for co-workers who can eat all that stuff for you!! (I have done the same, many times!)
Good luck this week and just think, no more holidays or 'big games' for a few more months

Hi PJ - ugh committee meeting today. That's all I have to say :)
Highest 440
Surgery 405
Last week 315.6
This week 313.0 (-2.6lbs) - but full of poo I think.
Very impatiently waiting to get under 300. I thought it would go faster than this *le sigh* - a couple more days to 6 month anniversary - HOPEFULLY I can get to 310.

No, I worked on it some Saturday but I put it away all day Sun, overkill. My problem is there are just so many unrelated details to remember and I used to be great at that, but now not so much. My brain is sort of sub-par since surgery.
The meeting went well, I talked for about an hour, then they grilled me with questions for about 20 minutes. Typical. I did ok, didn't break into tears or anything.

Well, I'm really annoyed with myself. Frisky eating, whi*****luded more salt and carbs than usual, has come to bite me in the backside.
I could wail and whine about it, and groan about how life isn't fair because there are people in my WLS support group who can't quit losing (I should have that problem), but as my dad always said, "Life isn't fair." Besides, wailing and whining doesn't change anything.
So, back to more stringent eating. Maybe the only way I'll lose any more weight is to stay on protein drinks and bars. I had a nice loss when I did that.
Beginning weight: 530 lb
Surgery weight: 407 lb
Last week: 214 lb
This week: 220 lb

Carbs are just evil, evil I tell ya!
I cleared my house of all my little snacks this weekend, mostly stuff I use for my blood sugar but I'm trying to find alternatives so I don't EAT EVERY DAMN THING IN SITE!!! My particular fav is cheese and crackers - a perfectly harmless snack that turn me into a glutenous pig. They are so perfect to keep with me for sugar lows, but I just eat them too easily. Ugh.
Good luck getting back on track this week, I know you will bounce back with flair

Those little pretzel sticks that you dip in cheese are outlawed in my house forever and ever now. They taste like the nice salty junk they are and I am an addict.
Ah, I see you and I are sailing in the same ship this week, Kix. Wailing and whining makes me feel better, for about 2 seconds. So feel free, but keep it short. Then get back on task.
I've thought about using protein drinks and protein bars to help me lose this last 10-15 pounds. But then I think about what am I going to do once I've lost the weight? I don't want to use protein drinks and protein bars on a long-term basis, so I haven't gone that route. Yet. When I have a day like today (up 5 pounds from yesterday) I really cut back on my carbs and make sure I'm getting lots of protein. I also religiously stick to my exercise routine. And the weight does come back off. Eventually.
Anyway, just wanted you to know you're not alone in this ship; I'm here with you, bailing desperately with a teaspoon, working hard to stay afloat (which was much easier when I was fatter because fat floats, dangit!!!!).
