The gym is open! I'll waddle to the gym and try to work off some of these carbs I ate over the weekend.  Stupid Kix, life is so much easier without them! What did you do to move your body today? Kix

I'm with you Kix!  Going to Curves this afternoon. Bought myself a sweatband for my head...maybe I'll look like a cool athlete and it won't be so obvious that I'm embarrassed by the head/face sweating that no one else seems to be experiencing during workout!  LOL    Anyway, I had a birthday party to attend (no cake or ice cream) and we went to the movies yesterday (had some popcorn) but didn't get my water in (bad girl) so today I pay!  LOL  HUGS!  Think of me while you're working out...misery loves company!  Jeanine

Today's my day off, so nothing for me. I did lots of exercise this weekend and now feel like i am coming down with something. Boy do I NOT need that to happen - I have a pretty strict schedule to get ready for camp so i need to feel good! Have fun exercising everyone!

This is my first week back at work and the doc and the DH both said NO GYM.... not even just the treadmill.... take a stroll with the DH after work if I'm not too tired but that's it.... sigh.....  So if you see me strolling along this afternoon, just wave as you fly by!  LOL

Good morning, Kix.  Let's not compare notes on how much we ate this weekend...  I'm thankful the Super Bowl only happens once a year!!!!   Today's a 2-a-day for me - lower body strength training and core work at lunch, then cardio after work.  Here's my lower body strength training routine in case anyone's interested -  Warm-up for 5 minutes on the bike step-ups - 20 reps per side leg press - 20 reps @ 135#, 16 reps @ 140#, 12 reps @ 145# hip abductor - 20 reps @ 60#, 16 reps @ 65#, 12 reps @ 70# hip adductor - 20 reps @ 95#, 16 reps @ 100#, 12 reps @ 105# ball squats - 12x3 holding 4 kg. medicine ball plie squats - 15x3 holding 15# dumbbell stationary lunges - 12x2 per side holding 7.5# dumbbell in each hand Core work includes -  back machine - 20x2 @ 60# ab machine - 25x2 @ 45# my version of sit-ups - 15x3 (knees bent, palms on lower thigh, lift up w/ abs until palm**** knees) supermans - 25x1 per side planks/hovers - 4 @ 30 seconds per hold This routine takes me about an hour as long as I can get the machines/equipment I need.  I've been doing it for about a month now and already noticing a difference in my lower body.  Will be interested to see how much of a difference it makes in 3-4 months... Hi Kix, I went to water aerobics this morning -- and I took my dh, who is working from home this week, as well as both my daughters and their boyfriends.  The young men, who had never been before, really enjoyed it, and felt that it was much harder than they expected.  I told them next time to use the heavier weights and see how that makes a difference! I will teach a class tonight, so a total of 2 hours in the water for me today.

My exercise has totally slacked off.  Unless having your heart race while you speak in front of 5 professors who hold your fate in your hands counts as aerobics, I wasn't active today.  I did stand up for an hour and a half and my back is killing me.  That's bound to have used some kind of muscle.

I did 400 calories worth of exercise on the treadmill.  It felt pretty good.  Today was leg day, so I did all the leg machines. Kix
