Gym and pool are open for the weekend!

Did you move your body this weekend? Walk/shop, run/clean? Or did you play? Play is good too. 

I had a time crunch this week - I had a stomach bug Mon and Tues plus I had to be in the office Tues-Fri this week. As a result, I wasn't able to swim and I really missed it. I haven't yet figured how to work in exercise on days I go in to the office. Just going to the office is a workout. By the end of the day, even if I have my bathing suit in the car, it is just waaay to easy to turn toward home instead of going straight, which is the way to the pool.

But I did get to the pool today and held it to 35 minutes after being off for a week. Better take some ibuprophen now before I stiffen up.

Who has super bowl plans? Hubby & I are gonna watch and cook a beef roast. Man Food.

It looks like everyone was out enjoying their weekend and too busy to post their exercise. Good for you for going to the pool, especially after being sick. It's tough to get back on the horse! I went snowshoeing Saturday, spent 4 hours climbing up and down a very steep mountain and had a blast! It was a perfect day, not too cold and sunny to start. Then a storm came in and it lightly snowed the entire way down - it was just beautiful. Nice way to spend the day. Today was my long day - I did 25 minutes on the spinning bike, 30 minutes of weights and 30 minutes of sprints. That bike just about did me in, my legs were burning and my lungs were gasping for air. Actually, I had a hard time breathing during the workout today - it was kind of frustrating. I think I am coming down with something, so I came home, took a hot bath and sucked on vitamin C. I just can't afford to be sick right now! I watched part of the Super Bowl but actually worked out during most of it - I figured the gym would be empty if I went when the game started and I was right. I had the place to myself!!

I went to the gym Saturday and did strength training for upper and lower body, plus core work and about 10 minutes of stretches.  I felt great when I was done!   Kellie

Thanks for opening the gym for the weekend.  I didn't get to the gym - I enjoyed sleeping in on Saturday morning instead
