I've never heard of Bahama Breeze, but the food sounds tasty.  I like to bake sweet potatoes forever and a day and add a little cinnamon, but I'm sure if they came mashed from the restaurant they'd have lots of high cal ingredients - good call! Homemade yogurt?  Is it better than store yogurt (I'm not generally a fan)? I'm feeling pretty good thanks.  I managed to choked down all my vitamins yesterday without angering Thundercles, and I just ate some lunch that I THOUGHT was going to be a problem but now it seems to be fine.

Bahama Breeze is a chain with a Caribbean theme.  They have some great food -- healthy choices and otherwise.  They have several chicken items that I really like, but my true loves are their Cuban sandwiches and the Key Lime pie.  But I don't get those items very often these days!   I like baked sweet potatoes too, and will often choose those at a restaurant if it's offered.  But their mashed sweet potatoes have sugar and butter added; makes them very rich, and sometimes that richness disagrees with my pouch.  So it didn't seem to wise to eat them and then go back to work, so I just skipped it!   The homemade yogurt is my way of thumbing my nose at Breyers.  I ate Breyers light yogurt for ages and it came in 8 oz. containers.  They recently switched to 6 oz. containers for about the same price as the 8 oz. containers because "their research shows that most consumers want 6 oz. containers."  Well, this consumer didn't want 6 oz. containers!!!  The 8 oz. portions were a perfect snack for me and the 6 oz. size is just a bit too small; it doesn't tide me for over for a long enough period of time and I wind up wanting to eat sooner.  Anyway, I decided I would try making my own yogurt at home.  It's easy, but I think it'll take several batches before I figure out how to get the texture I want.  The flavor is good -- I mix it w/ splenda and sugar-free preserves -- but the texture is thinner that I'd like.  Anyway, that's my yogurt story!!!   I'm glad you are feeling better and that you were able to get your vitamins down.  It's a struggle when your pouch is grumpy, but you seem to be on the mend - thank goodness :-) Kellie

Gee, it feels like Monday to me - it's really Wednesday? Not a great day, but ok. I indulged in some oh my god these are good homemade cookies - I'm thinking they were kind of worth it though I did try Vitamin Water for the first time and I was impressed - not bad. The one I tried had potassium in it and since I am lacking in that I do believe I will be adding this in more often Pre-workout snack: PB pudding breakfast/snack: 1/4 cup of raisins and an atkins protein bar 1 1/2 c. hot chocolate (I was so cold after my 2 mile trek outside that nothing would warm me up, so it was hot chocolate to the rescue!) lunch: 2 pieces of cheese pizza (minus the crust - don't really love the crust unless I can put honey on it, and my pouch hates honey) unplanned snack: 4 yummy chocolate chip in chocolate/vanilla cookies and 2 tootsie rolls Drink: Fruit Punch Vitamin Water snack: 1/2 banana, atkins protein bar planned for tonight: dinner: 4 ounces of meatloaf, 1/2 c. green bean casserole snack: 3 packets of granola bites unknown: I'm going to a reception put on by my surgeon honoring those of us who have had surgery, so there may some little snacks. But I'm trusting there will be decent choices calories: 2330 fat: 91 carbs: 321 fiber: 37  protein: 82 water: at least  92, maybe more tonight

Ok this hasn't been a good food day.  Not at all, and my lentil soup and orange for dinner probably won't make the numbers much better :) B - 12oz mootopia, NSA carnation instant breakfast S - 2 pieces of mini-cheesecake (about 4 bites worth) over an hour-long class.  I'm in a class where a different student speaks every week and that student also generally brings sweets.  Most are cookies, not tempting really, but the girl today is married to a pastry chef and the LEAST sugary thing was cheesecake.  It was sooo good.  S - pretzel sticks with cheese (I'm never ever buying those again EVER) L - south beach chicken salad with walnuts and cranberries - I only ate a few pita chips but had to put the nut info for everything because the package doesn't break it up.  S - pretzel sticks with cheese (crap I had another package in my desk I forgot about) S - kozy shack NSA tapioca D - 1 cup lentil soup, 1 orange  Calories - 1112 Fat - 37 Carbs - 134 (lower actually, because of pita chips) Fiber - 22 Protein - 68
