Slow and steady wins the prize, so good for you! It's tough when it's slow going, but you are doing great!

I have to admit, I love school. I have seriously considered going for my doctorate just so I can teach. I just love the atmosphere of college and the kids are so much fun. I guess I should work for masters first though Your poor hubby, hope he isn't in too much pain. I really think the foot is one of the hardest parts to break - I injured my heel once and it was such a pain, the whole walking thing just isn't fun! Hope it gets better real soon. Another loss for you, good job! Now that hubby is hobbling around I'll bet you'll get even more exercise being his nurse

Hey now...where's your positive thinking???  Just because you lost 3 weeks in a row DOES NOT mean you're gonna stall!  Keep doing what you're doing and have faith.  How did DH break that foot anyway?  I hear ya about needing him up & able...My man is invaluable too!  HUGS  Jeanine

Welcome back!  Had you been AWOL one more day, I'd have headed over there to see whazzup. I went to my WLS support group tonight, and the class was full of fairly new post-ops who have "graduated" to the long-term class.  I felt like a village elder.   My counselor was pleased with my weight loss.  I weighed 221 at the last class in December, and I weighed 214 today. I've also noticed that my leggings are beginning to get a bit baggy in the thigh.  Could it be that killer treadmill is actually making Thigantor and Thigantorina smaller?  Hm! Beginning weight: 530 lbs Surgery weight: 407 lb Last week: 212 (false loss from being sick with grouchy pouch) This week: 214 Kix (edited because I really know how to spell "leggings."  Honest, I do! )

You truly inspire me Kix!!  Your numbers indicate a level of dedication and success that warms my heart.  I am sure that lurkers and newbies see your results and say "if she can do it, so can I!"  Thank you for posting and keep up the good work!!  HUGS  Jeanine

! One dude at class last night is (from what I could glean from his "private" chat with the WLS counselor prior to class, is already gaining at 1 yr out.  It sounds to me like he is consuming a lot of hidden calories like drinking milk with his meals, etc. During class, I mentioned how much weight I'd lost (we do that during introductions), and I was sitting next to this dude.  He spent the entire class asking me questions about what I eat, etc.  I don't want to encourage others to eat the way I do, because I'm lazy about my food choices and use what's easy for me that also keeps me on track. What I'd like to beat into people's heads is the need for some form of exercise, whatever a person can do to move the body.  Not only is it important for emotional well being and physical health, I don't know how people can sustain weight loss without it. Thanks for the kudos!  The support here really is remarkable, and helps a lot toward staying on track.  Congrats on your silver anniversary, too!  That's quite an accomplishment in this day and age.  May you have at least two more of those silvers! Kix
