Monday Weigh In!!!
Boy, last week was just kind of crazy! I was MIA all week due to school starting and lots of drama with my financial aid, but I'm hoping that this week is better and I will able to post a bit more. I missed you all!!
Now, on to the purpose of this post... yup, it's that time again, the dreaded (or anticipated!) weigh in! Get those scales out and come be accountable!
surgery weight: 371
last week's weight: 170
this week's weight: 170
the same weight but fewer inches. My size 10 jeans are getting a little big and I just might be able to fit into a size 8 soon! WooHoo!!!!! That will be a good day, being in the single digits! My goal was to be 160 by the time I go to Adventure Race Camp in March but I'm not sure my body wants to budge so I'm not pushing it to hard. I'll take a size 8 instead, no problem!
Ok gals (I was going to say guys but realized we don't have any guys around here - if a fellow is reading this I challenge you to join us. I promise we don't bite!) come on up and give us your stats

Hi, PJ!!! Hope this week holds less drama than last for you - I remember that starting back to school always involved lots of hassles. If I never go to school again, it will be too soon. Anyway, I hope you have a little more time to be online this week - we missed you. Regarding the scales, here's my numbers for the week:
Beginning weight - 396
Surgery weight - 386
Last Monday - 191.5 Today - 189.4
I was down to 186.8 on Friday, but the weekends are always tough for me. When I'm hanging out at home, I want to snack all the time. Some weekends are easier than others, but this one was a tough one. Anyway, I do fine sticking to my food place and workout routine during the week, so in a strange way I'm glad it's Monday.

You know, you are a testament that the surgery works long after the supposed "honeymoon" period - good for you for the 2 pounds!
It's funny, weekends are easy for me, it's the weekdays that kill me. I think it's the workplace for me, there is so much food everywhere! In my house is nothing, absolutely nothing. Kind of an advantage of living alone

I live with two other people and they are good about not bringing my worst trigger food **** cream) into the house. But I can't expect them to give up everything I choose not to eat! They have given up a lot though, like we almost never have potatoes any more and it's a treat when we do. We also eat a lot less pasta than we did before my surgery. And they've grown accustomed to the fact that our meals include a lean protein, a veggie and a salad, often without a carb.
The thing about winter weekends for me is that I sometimes just hang out at home. I think I'm eating because I'm bored, not because I'm hungry. So I'm working on finding things to do to occupy myself so I'm not always thinking, "hey, there's room in my pouch for some [popcorm] [cheese doodles] [whatever I can find]."

Hello everyone...Happy Monday! DH and I had a quiet weekend getting things done around the house and visiting my 82 yr old parents. All is well. It felt good to have a weekend where we weren't running every single minute. I am trying to get into the exercise thing with the knowledge that bathing suit weather will be here before we know it. I ordered an 8 minute core workout DVD for arms, thighs, belly & butt from ebay and also some thigh sauna belts to wear when I am at Curves or anytime that cant be seen under clothes. I am trying to get rid of some flab on my inner front thighs so I can FINALLY wear a bathing suit without a frumpy skirt! Hope it works! LOL
Gotta look good this summer when we celebrate our silver wedding anniversary! Here's my stats:
Have a good week all....HUGS Jeanine
Beginning Weight: 284
Surgery Weight: 252
Last Week: 214
This Week: 211
Silver anniversary! Wow, I'm impressed. I can't seem to get a relationship to last for more than a month! Good for you two, that's quite an accomplishment.
I'm on the search for a swimsuit that will not show my wrinkly legs - don't think that will happen, unless I revert to the swimsuits from the early 1900's
Wouldn't that be a site, some crazy woman in one of those full body suits -boy, would I get comments!
Good loss this week too - you'll be in that swimsuit before you know it!!

Thanks PJ...we are so happy to be celebrating our silver...we both came from previous bad marriages so it was a miracle we found each other. I was married at 18 to a dictator & verbally abusive man who was ashamed of me when I went from 130-160 lbs!!! I had 4 daughters over the 12 years we were married. Food and my girls were my comfort. I finally walked out on him with the kids and met my DH and the rest is history. He has loved me no matter what size I am and it sure yo-yo'd over these 25 years!! So the absolute BEST revenge will be having my former ass---- see me slim & trim. HAH! He can't touch this! LOL We don't need to revert to the 1900's suits...just s litttle swim mini if need be. That will actually be the least of my problems after experiencing the losers bench! I know you are sweet and have much to offer....your prince will come along one day when you least expect it! HUGS Jeanine
OMG will I ever make it under 200 lbs. I am not complaining. I am totally happy with what I have accomplish so far. I just want to see the scale read 199.999999....LOL. I think to me that being under 200 lbs is some kind of representation of normal or average weight.
I loss 3 lbs this week and I am very happy about that. Especially with me being 1 year post-op. The weight doesn't come off like it use to.
BTW...thank PJ for doing the weigh-in. Have you heard from Marge?

You will get under 200, Tricie, just be patient. I think our bodies know when we're anxious about hitting a milestone and it just teases us by getting so close, but not quite getting there!!! I bet you'll be under 200 some time during the next couple weeks, and I look forward to giving you a great, big 'atta girl when you get there!!!
