Hallo all - I hope everyone has a happy weekend!  I just got back from the salon and I am very pleased.  It was a new salon and it was nicer and cheaper than my previous one (yay!).  I like my haircut and my fabulous blondishness very much.  My avatar should change to show the new 'do sometime today.  Take care of yourselves! Saturday's food (plan - its only 5pm and won't have dinner till husband gets home at midnight) B - venti iced non-fat sugar free vanilla latte, pretzel sticks dipped in cheese L - vietnamese: marinated grilled pork served with rice, tomatoes, cucumber, sauteed scallions and chili paste - I ate about 2oz pork, a few bites of rice, and all my veggies - took the rest home S - leftover lunch - another 2oz pork and a few more bites of rice (overestimating on dailyplate to 1/2c rice total for the day) D - spinach salad and steak - 1 cup baby spinach, 5 strawberries, 1 scallion, 1 tbsp sliced almonds, 1/4 red bell pepper and 1 tbsp Newman's Own light raspberry walnut vinagrette plus 2oz of steak very thinly sliced (probably over-estimating how much steak I will eat with that big salad) S - navel orange, 8oz mootopia I'm marinating 2 steaks and 3 chicken breasts to grill tonight, plus baking 4 potatoes.  I plan to use the leftover 2/3 of my steak, chicken breasts, and 3 potatoes throughout the week for other recipes and I figured if getting the grill out and cleaning it, I should cook everything at once and get it over with.  Its funny to see that much food in front of me though, it looks like enough for 10 RNY patients.  I think it makes Thundercles panic whenever there's a lot food in front of me - pouchy doesn't want to have to punish me for overeating. I was right - I managed to fit 2 slices of steak, so I had a glass of milk later on to get enough protein.

Its a kind of milk only available from one grocery store chain - HEB (Texas mainly) Its lactose free (although I don't seem to be lactose intolerant, with as much milk as I drink I am glad its lactose free just in case) and it has extra protein and calcium added.  The skim milk has 90 calories per cup, 14g of protein (almost double regular skim milk) and 400mg calcium.  So when I have 16oz milk with a packet of no sugar added carnation instant breakfast it comes out to 240 calories, 1g fat, 33g protein, and 800mg (80%of the RDA) of calcium.  This combination has literally saved me in the protein department because I can't stand protein shakes!  Mootopia is my best food ally, and I have someone from BMI over 50 to thank for it.
