SURGERY TODAY FOR ONE OF OUR OWN

Today 1/25 at 1:45pm our friend Inkerdoodle (profile name for Lisa) is having her RNY. She has the same doctor as I did, so I know she'll do well.  Maybe we could all give her some support and advice as she begins her journey!  HUGS to all....Jeanine

Well, it's almost 10:45 here, which means she hasn't gone in yet, so I still have time to wish her well before she joins the rest of us on the Losers' Bench. Kix

What's wrong GF????  You under the weather???   We're supposed to go to my parents house in Gloversville today and she's going home tomorrow...so I won't be able to make it.  I know she has a ton of family /friends and I remember not wanting alot of company so I figure maybe I'd go see her at home in a week or so.  She actually called me last night...I was shocked. She sounded good...other than the hoarse voice which I remembered having too. How have you been doing...things are pretty quiet with you. And even the message board is dead...must be everyone is hibernating! LOL  Hope all is well.  HUGS  Jeanine

Hey everyone... Thanks so much for the well wishes.. I apologize, I didn't realize this was out here otherwise I would have popped on sooner... I'm doing well.. Today I had my first post op appointment and since surgery have lost 5.7 lbs.  (over 39 total)..  Although right now I'm suffering from a severe (to me anyway) allergic reaction to what we think is a goose down pillow. My face and eyes were swollen, head itched like no tomorrow and my hands are so swollen I can't put my rings on.. (which spun around before today)... the good news is I've been on Benadryl since 4 PM and slowing everything is going away. I just wish my hands would stop hurting so badly.. RNY wise, I feel good and every day feel a little better... Evelyn (the PA) say's I'm doing great... Well, back to bed before the benadryl kicks in and I fall asleep on the key board.. Hugs everyone..
