Gym is Open (Friday 1/25)
Good morning Kix!
I did 30 mins on the treadmill yesterday and felt great so I ended up sitting at the computer playing all day and then I paid for it with swollen ankles and was really uncomfortable all evening.... so even though the swelling is gone and my ankles are back to their shapely selves, I'm under orders to stay in the recliner with my feet up all day today..... sigh...

Morning KIx!
I am off again to the YMCA. This will be my 7th aquafit class of the week, and the 5th one taught by me. I am a bit stiff this morning from doing the double workout last night. Again, I had 2 people leave class early letting me know that I was too hard for them! Oh well! I definately needed the stress relief, and I didn't think that the class was that hard - more medium than anything!
So, count me for 1 hour of water aerobics this morning.

I will be going for a walk today after the kids get home from school. They love walking wit me!it be so funny cuz I would start running, an they be trying to catch up wit me which dont take them long to do. I be so out of breath when I'm done I have to stand there an get myself together ya'll. I'm planning on signing up to a gym soon but gotta get my funds in order. So until tomorrow...........
Hi, Kix. If you're getting soreness in your shins, you may want to try doing some leg stretches when you're done with your treadmill time. That helps me when my shins are bothering me. Perhaps someone at your gym can show you how to do shin stretches (I stretch mine by doing calf raises on an elevated surface, so I can drop my heel below the level of my food). Anyway, sometimes that helps.
As for me, I lifted weights for upper body and did core work at lunch time. I've been doing this routine for about 4 weeks now and can already tell that it's getting easier. I may bump up some of my weights next week, or increase the number of repetitions to keep it challenged.
I was planning to go back to the gym after work for cardio, but my day got discombobulated by a 4:00 a.m. phone call that my mother-in-law needed emergency surgery. Turned out she had passed a gallstone the size of a golf ball through part of her gastrointestinal system and it was lodged in her small bowel. Ouch doesn't even begin to describe it. Anyway, my sleep cycle got totally mixed up as I helped my girlfriend wake up, get coffee, get directions to the hospital, and get out the door. Thankfully, the MIL is recovering nicely, but me, well, I'm pooped. So I may not make it back to the gym for round 2 today. Such is life -
Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I'm super glad it's Friday and I'm looking forward to the weekend!
