Gym is Open (Thursday 1/24)

I had alot of running around to do today. Took the car for an inspection,then over to DMV went to the market to get the things I need to start my liquid diet. Went for a walk then back home to fix dinner for the kids. It was a nice sunny day but still cold.........

Hi again Kix, I am headed back to the YMCA.  The instructor for tonight called in with cramps, so I said I would take the class.  I need the stress relief.  It's been a DAY.  Still cold, raining, etc.  We will see if anyone shows up!

You are a saint!  I feel bad reporting that our aquacise class was nice and toasty in a 93.3 degree pool.  The teacher kind of overdid it with the leg exercises, though, I can hear my sister groaning in her sleep, so I think she's having calf cramps.   I saw on the evening news tonight that people were just leaving their cars on i-5.  Not sure I'd do that, but I guess it beats freezing to death waiting for the highway to thaw.  How far are you from Mt Baldy?  How far are you from Mt Baldy? Well, I live on Mountain Ave, in S. Ontario.  If I drove UP Mountain Ave. about 12 - 14 miles I would be near Mt. Baldy Village, so I am not too far.  It is beautiful to see the mountains covered in snow! Our class tonight was small, and several left early, but it was good to get in more exercise.  It helps with my stress level, and today, I was stressed!

Hi Kix, 30 minutes treadmill, 20 bike and 100 crunches. I also sat in the sauna for 5 minutes to warm up when I got there. (((hugs))) Diana

Diana, I hadn't thought about sitting in the sauna to warm my muscles before exercise.  I just might try that tomorrow!  I always thought the sauna was for relaxing after all the hard work was done. Cody gets cuter every day.  Hard to believe he's already 9 months old!  Where does the time go? Kix

Thanks Kix!!! Wish I was in the sauna right now. It's colder in the house than it is outside. LOL I just worked an 11 hour day and I'm gonna go take a HOT bath. Take care and I hope your having a great weekend. Diana

"YAY" FOR KIX BEING BETTER    HAPPY DANCE        HAPPY DANCE      Does that count for my exercise? lol   If not I also did 27 mins on the Elliptical  Then I got a killer cramp in my lower abdomen (almost a female thing) then I remembered that I ate beans for dinner last night and didn't  go this morning (tmi?) lol which is not normal. So i'm sure it was just  a big gas bubble seems to be better now But I just scare easy since my surgery, so I quit working out and went home.  (and ate more beans) lol Estelle

Thanks for the happy dance, it's nice to be back to good health. When I eat a large protein meal in the morning, sometimes I find I have stinky gas when I'm exercising.  Nothing like trying to sneak out stinky gas at the gym -- inevitably, there's always someone either right next to me on the treadmill or right behind me on the elliptical.  I try to use the treadmill located directly under the huge ceiling fan "just in case." How's that for TMI?  I wish you hadn't mentioned beans, now I'm craving bean stew.   Kix
