Gym is Open (Wednesday 1/23)
Good Morning Kix,
I'm sorry to say I didn't get any exercise yesterday and I really really can tell when I don't..... the temp started out in the 40s at 4:00 AM and dropped from there and with a North wind blowing I just stayed inside.... so today's agenda definitely includes the Dreadmill as a friend puts it!
I promise to take it easy though.... and SHHHHHHH don't tell the Hubby!
Edited To Add: I did it! Boy was it easy, but boy am I tired~! LOL
Hugs,

Well, I'm at about 88% today, so I'm confident of a full recovery in the next day or so.
I did 15 minutes of easy treadmill at the rec center. Frankly, I didn't feel like doing more than that, and my pouch was making loud, rude noises because I ate some raw almonds the rec center was serving. Bad Kix!
I was worried my firehose diarrhea would start up again, and decided I'd rather be in the comfort of my home instead of a public restroom sounding like a tuba ensemble!

It's best to ease back in to your exercise routine after you've been ill. Your energy levels and hydration are usually a little out of whack, and it'll take a few days for everything to get back to normal. But kudos for getting yourself back out there!!!
As for me, I lifted weights for upper body at lunch and did some core work. I tried a new machine called the Gravitron. Although it looks like a medieval torture device (see picture below) it is, in fact, a machine that enables average folks to do pull-ups and chin-ups! It has a weight stack so the machine "assists" you and you don't have to lift your full body weight. Anyway, I was able to do 3 sets of 10 pull-ups with LOTS of assistance! Now that I know how to use this, I think I'll add it to my routine.
I'm going back to the gym after work for cardio. Planning to do a 5-minute warm-up on the bike, then 15-20 minutes on the stairmaster, followed by 25-30 minutes on the elliptical. I did 15 minutes on the stairmaster yesterday with no problem, so will be interested to see if I can do 20 minutes today...
Good luck to everyone finding the time, energy and motivation to move it today!!!
Kellie
