64 year old butts - hmmm, I have an interesting image with that idea But there certainly is a lot of snow out there! We tried to go off the beaten trail yesterday and found ourselves in 3 feet of snow - my legs are feeling it to, it really works them out. I'm glad we are getting so much but it is exhausting to walk through!

Snowshoeing?  In this weather?  AIYEE!  Someday I hope to say I "only" ran 3.3 miles at 5 MPH!  I can guarantee you that our dogs do not like walking outside in the cold.  As for Jodi Lou, if she wants to go walking, she can wait until her humans get home.  I'm not walking her anywhere in this cold.  I wonder if I claimed she was a service dog, I could take her to the gym and have her run on one of the treadmills, kind of like Astro. Have fun, and where are you going to do this snowshoeing? Kix

We went to the Crags, which is the trail that hikes the back side of Pikes Peak. Beautiful place and absolutely gorgeous weather - sunny and no wind, at least not until we hit the high ridge and then it was painfully windy. The snowshoes I was using broke so I ended up having to borrow someone's extra pair. They weren't the most durable pair so it was kind of difficult at some of the steeper parts, but I made it! We were up there for about 4 hours which according to fitday burns off about 1800 calories - I think I need to do this more often I like the idea of a treadmill for the dogs - you should open up a gym for dog owners where every other treadmill is for dogs. If just might work!

Well, it just about killed me, but I did an hour of killer treadmill today.  Whew! Kix PS: Someone turned in my gloves after all.  Hooray!

I wasn't able to get to the pool as I had a dentist appointment during the time I prefer to swim, but after the appt. I went to the grocery and walked all over the store for about 20 minutes while I was waiting for my Rx's to be filled. That is quite a bit of walking for me - normally I was using a riding cart.

Then last night I did some chores that had me standing and walking for another 1/2 hour or so. I set up and used the new Foreman Grill I got us for Christmas. This one is much larger and the grill plates come off and pop into the DW. MUCH easier to clean and use. Made fresh cod that had been marinating in lemon and garlic all afternoon. Yumm.

I've been very pleasantly surprised that I seem to be walking better and for longer.
