Update on date

For those who asked-- Well, I had my first date on Friday night, and it was very nice.  There were no sparks though, but that's okay.  It was just good to know that I could do it and not feel really strange and awkward.  The gentleman was older in behavior than I expected.  I may not be young, but I do feel young and vibrant.  (And not quite ready to act my age, much less older!).   So I'm going to keep looking, but now at least I know I can do it. Sally I was reading this post and thinking about how strange it would be to date. And then I thought about how even though I have been married for almost 18 years I never really dated as an adult, So I think I can really understand where your coming from. I give you all the credit in the world!!!     Just have fun!  Estelle

You go, Sally!! It's great being able to not have to "settle" because of our weight. When I get out there again, it will be so different than when I was young and felt I HAD to have a man. Right now, I am enjoying noticing the new male attention coming my way and just recognizing how different it is than 6 months ago. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Julie
