Jennie, I am sorry to hear about your son and his girlfriend.  What a scary situation to be in no matter your age, but I think it's particularly difficult when you are quite young.  I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. Where did you go on your cruise? Kix (almost signed my name Lox, I wasn't paying attention.  I must be a lox today).

Well, I joined Weigh****chers at Work today mostly so I had a convenient place to get weighed regularly. Here I thought I was making good progress, but either their scale is WAY off from my docs, or else my shoes weigh an awful lot more than I thought. And yeah, I did the old trick of wearing my shoes so I can take them off next weigh in. Like I'm fooling anyone = LOL!

Starting weight 440
Previous weight 424
Today 446

Arghhhhhh. Maybe it is the shoes AND muscle, as I sure feel like I'm moving better.

I've always had a secret conspiracy theory about weigh****chers and jenny craig and gym scales - they add 10-15 lbs to each scale so you are more determined than ever to spend your money on their services. I doubt its true, but my gym scale weighs me 10lbs heavier than home (clothed for both) and my doc's office scale consistently weighs me 5 lbs less than my home scale (and thats naked at home, clothes with shoes at the doc's office).  That makes 20lbs difference between the doc's office and the gym.... something fishy if you ask me...
