Monday already.  Sorry about that. The gym is open.  I'll post my actual exercise later, but I plan to do killer treadmill, plus I have my long awaited personal trainer appointment.   What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Oh, so I can blame you for the fact that it's Monday already?  Sheese, and here I thought you had my back, Kix.  Hmph.   Originally, I had a meeting scheduled during the lunch hour, but it's been cancelled.  So I can do my normal Monday routine - strength training at lunch and cardio after work.  Think I'll do the lower body routine at lunch, along with some core work.  Then whatever cardio sounds good at the end of the day!  Let us know how the appointment with the personal trainer goes - I hope it's a positive experience for you, and that you get some good guidance about how to step things up a notch or two. When I was working, it was always a happy day when lunchtime meetings were cancelled. I have your back, I just don't have any power to keep Mondays from popping up as scheduled. Kix

I did 30min on the treadmill (I cancelled gym this morning, but I still have access until March 31 cause I paid first and last month's membership when I signed up) - thinking of joining curves after that since husband isn't very good with gym usage anyway.  I also took the stairs a couple of times today.  Kix & PJ - I'm going to Breckenridge for a conference in April and have to fly in to Denver and take a shuttle - how far is it from Denver?  I also think husband will be joining me, it depends on finances I guess.

PJ's probably better at the mileage game than I am, since I have never been to Breckenridge, but I think it's a little over 100 miles from the airport.  Any chance you can loiter in Denver long enough to say HI? Friends of mine who tried Curves post-op said they didn't feel very challenged by it once they went for a couple of weeks.  Is there a rec center at your school? Taking the stairs is great exercise!  I'm pitiful on the stairs since my knees don't bend well, but if I'm not using them for exercise purposes, I can manage. Kix

I'm hoping we can loiter.  We either have to rent a car or use the shuttle from the airport - the shuttle is like 120 round trip for each of us so I think we should just rent a car, and then we could definitely loiter.  Now I just have to make sure Ryan can take the time off before I make arrangements.  He's checking tonight.  The school pays for hotel, my flight, conference fees, and possibly rental car (they would pay for my shuttle, so I have to see if I can finagle them paying at least for the price of the shuttle towards a rental car... that'll be fun paperwork).  We found airfare for him $99 each way (on southwest, which I hate, but we're tight on money so I'll deal).

I would definitely rent a car, there is tons to see up there and a car would be helpful in getting around. And I imagine it would be cheaper than the shuttle - when I flew to San Antonio at Christmas it was $30 for the shuttle and I live in town! By the way, have you checked Frontier? Check their actual site and you might be able to get a better deal - they tend to be cheaper when you book through them.

It's about 100 miles, like Kix said. However, it will take you about 2 hours to get up there since you have to go all the way through town and then there is the always lovely traffic. Breckenridge is one of my fav places - as a matter of fact, the 14er I climbed is just a few minutes away from there, you can see if very clearly. Hope you do get to be in Denver for a little while at least! We all could meet somewhere fun.
