Mostly Happy Camper!
I started my modified pouch test yesterday (I had a small bowl of beef stew for dinner) and am happy to report I have already lost some weight! I must have been hanging on to water or something. Water or not, I don't care, it's nice to see the scale move again.
Now if spring would get here! I have to go shovel snow yet again. Every other winter here in CO, the roads melted practically overnight. Now that I'm mobile and able to drive, of course, the roads stay snowpacked and slippery. Oy.

Hi Kix!
I really do miss all of you guys, but, I have to say that I really don't have any time for the computer and personal business anymore. Sometimes I sneek a peek and try to see how folks are doing.
I just finished the 5 day pouch test from the Living After WLS website. I went down 8.8 lbs. I had gained back up to 254.8, so I am not better off than I was, I'm just closer to where I was. I really do think I can't handle carbs (simple carbs) they leave me hungry for more!
Anyway, this is a battle for life, right? I'm so proud of you to be 220 lbs!!! YIPPEE!!! Hopefully, someday I'll get there.
Big Hugs,
Lori
Lori, I miss you, too, and I think of you every time I hear that SLC is getting hammered by another snowstorm. I think, "Oh, poor Lori!"
What I use the pouch test for is to help wean me off the cravings I have for calorie-rich, useless foods like pumpernickel rolls the size of softballs, etc. I have to stay away from carbs or eat them in very limited servings, otherwise, I go off the wagon and start eating like a pig.
Have you scheduled your plastic surgery yet? Keep us posted!
