Plus Size Bras

For those of us who are still wearing plus size bras, just wanted to let you know that Lane Bryant is having a sale on their bras.  Buy 2, get 2 free.  It works out to around $12/bra, which is a good price. The bras seem to be decent quality, too. I also bought some cushy slipper sox for $5, they are the softest sox I've ever worn.  Warm, too, for those of us who are always cold all the time. Thank you Kix, I am going to go on line and see if I can get some.  If not I will drag my butt to the store.  I found that once I started to lose the weight I went back to the underwires.  I hope they have some of them, as I I have poked some holes in two of mine. Hope you had a great New Year. Jeanne

2 days after Christmas I headed to Lane Bryant for bras, even with all the weight I've lost I still wear a 38DDD, no loss in my cup size, in fact I went up in cup? Go figure. Anyhoo, I bought 12, yes, 12 new bras and I'm in heaven! All colors and they actually fit and hold me up! What a differance a good bra makes. They are well trained in measuring you, but I did try on 9 or 10  different syles and types until I found the one I really like. It's a wonderful thing to do for yourself!

Jan, even though I can't figure it out, I also went up a cup size.  My doctor even told me when she did my breast exam that I had "no tissue but lots of skin."  At my fattest, I wore a 60D (about the same size bra that you'd buy for a compact car).  Meanwhile, I now wear a 44DD, yet my boobies certainly do not look like 44DD boobies! 12 bras?  44DD was a popular size, so I was fortunate to find 4 that I liked.  They did have plenty of them in 38DD and 38DDD, so maybe when I get these last 40 lbs lost!   I second the comment about staff being well trained in measuring and fitting.  I no longer have to tug or adjust my bra, which is a good thing.  One day at the rec center, I was exercising vigorously and my boobies plopped right out the bottom of my Walmart sport bra.  Enjoy those bras! Thanks Kix!  They didn't have all of them in stock but at the store they were able to order on-line and have them shipped to me. So I bought 6 bras, 5 pairs of underware saved $309.99, and only spent $200.00. I also had a 10% off coupon! With all the traveling I do it's nice to not have to worry about having enough bras and panties! Hubby says I've turned into one of those, well this has to match that kind of girls, but he loves it. I did notice for the very first time in my life that yesterday after going without a bra most of the day (rainy lazy day) it actually felt better to wear one, way more support! I started out as a 54DD and have ended up as a 38DDD, of course they hang to the floor now, but I'll live with it!

I'm almost ready to go down another band size - I'll have to go take a look.  I've gotten a few bras there I really liked over the years.
